Ben's pov.

We've been looking for Mal for a week now. Still no luck. We found a trail but it ended. I thought that we had found her but we hadn't. Mal has been pregnant for a week. Who knows what she is going through. For all I know she could be dead. But I can't think like that right now, I have to find her.

Mal's pov.

I've been on the run for a week now. I haven't found a place to stay yet. I am hungry and cold and my feet hurt. I miss Ben but he is better off without me. It hurts. I had to leave my friends behind, my boyfriend behind to protect them. But I can't go on like this much longer. I need to find a place to stay and soon. I don't think I'll survive if I keep going. I've passed out a few times. I'm getting cramps and I throw up everyday. I need Ben. I need help. I jumped when I heard noises coming from behind me. I saw men in gold and blue. I started to run. I can't allow them to catch me. They will take me back to Auradon. I need to stay as far away from there as possible. Then I heard the voice I have been longing to hear. I heard Ben's voice. "I see her. Mal!" He yelled. I turned to look at him for a second before turning back around and running. Someone grabbed my arms and forced me on my knees. "King Ben, we got her!" One of the guards said. Ben came up to me on a horse. "Release her!" He said. "But your majesty, we were ordered by your father to bring her to him." "I am the king, now release her." He said. Something was shot into my neck and I fell forward. "What the hell? Who did that?" I heard him yell before I fell into darkness.

Ben's pov.

Someone shot her with a tranquilizer dart. She fell forward. "Who did that?" I yelled again. All the guards looked at me. Then I saw a guard turn around. Guilt covered his face. "Arrest him!" I said, pointing at the guard who turned around. I looked down at Mal. She was unconscious. I picked her up. I got on my horse and laid her across my lap. I caressed her hair and rode back to the castle. When I got there all of my friends were there. "Where was she?" Evie asked running up to me. "In the desert. She tried running away from me. A guard shot her with a tranquilizer dart. I had him arrested." I said. I got off my horse with her in my arms and walked into the castle. I took her to my room. My mom rushed in. "Ben, why is she unconscious?" She asked, looking at Mal. "A guard shot her with a tranquilizer dart. He said it was on dad's orders to capture her." I said. "I'll be right back." She said and left the room. I heard yelling in another room. "Adam, you wanted her captured? A guard acted on your orders and shot Mal. She is unconscious. You have messed up big time. I don't think Ben will forgive you for this!" My mom yelled and walked back into my room, holding a cold damp rag in her hand. She placed it on Mal's forehead. Mal was slowly regaining consciousness. She finally opened her eyes. My mom left the room 10 minutes ago. She looked at me and sat up with her back facing me. "Mal!" I said putting my hand on her shoulder. She pushed my hand away. "Mal-" I said softly before she cut me off. "I told you not to come after me!" She said and stood up. She started to walk away. I jumped in front of the door. "Mal, just hear me out! I need you. I can't survive without you. I love you. I promise nobody is going to hurt you. Please don't do this. Don't walk away! We're a team Mal! It's you and me forever. I've been looking for you for a week. I never stopped. I need you in my life. I love you so much. So please, just stay!" I said. A tear slipped down her face. "I can't!" That's all she said before she walked out of the room. A tear slipped past my eyelashes. I ran after her. I'm not going to let her slip away. I'm not going to let her leave me. "Mal, stop! I love you. Don't walk away. Please don't leave me. I'll do anything. Just, stay!" I yelled down the stairs. "Anything?" She asked. "Yes!" I said. "You can leave me alone!" She said. I stumbled back a few steps. "I'm not letting you slip away again!" I yelled when I ran out the front door. "I have no choice Ben! I have to leave!" She yelled, turning around. "Why not?" I asked. "Because-your dad has banished me! I'm no longer allowed to live in Auradon!" She said as tears escaped her eyes. In that one small second I became enraged. I grabbed her hand and pulled her into my dad's office. My dad looked up from his desk. "You banished her! It's not her fault this happened. It's nobody's fault. I told you I loved her and still you took her away from me! I will never forgive you for this!" I yelled. "I had no choice, Ben. You would have ruined everything. Your life would've been over! She can no longer stay here. She is banished and that is that." He said. "I hate you!" I said and walked out of the room. I walked into my bedroom. Mal's hand still linked with mine. Once she was inside the room I closed and locked the door. I paced around my room. "Ben, I need to go! I'm not welcome here anymore!" She said. "No, your not leaving! I'm going to make him agree to let you stay!" I said and walked out of the room. I walked into my dad's office. "She is staying!" I said. "No, she is not!" He said. "I am the king! What I say goes! She is staying. You can't blame her for this, if you must blame someone then blame me! She is staying!" I said sternly. He nodded. "Fine, she can stay but she is no longer the lady of the court!" I scoffed. "Yes, she is! She is my girlfriend and is carrying my child! She is and always will be a lady of the court!" I said and walked out. "Oh, and remember, I can banish you as well! I am the king and what I say goes!" I said and kept walking. I went back into my room to find Mal gone. "Damnit!" I said under my breath. Then I saw something purple hanging out of the window. I walked closer to it. What I saw was horrific. Mal was hanging out the window with a rope tied around her neck. "Nooooooooo!" I screamed. I pulled her through the window and held her in my lap. My mom and dad burst into my room and they put their hands over their mouths. "She's gone! No! No, no, no, no, no! She can't be gone. This can't be happening! Please comeback! Mal!" I cried, holding her tightly in my arms. My mom walked up to me and pulled me away from Mal. "No, she can't be gone!" I said. I looked at my father. "You caused this! You did this to her, to me! I will never forgive you for this! From this point forward, you are no longer my father!" I said. "Adam, go call her friends! Tell them I need to speak with them!" My Mom said, kneeling down next to me, giving me a hug. Evie, Jay, and Carlos entered my room about 30 minutes later. Evie broke into tears. Carlos and Jay froze and shook their heads. "Naw, naw this can't be happening! NO, NO, NO, NO, NO!!!" Jay yelled and punched the wall. "How?" Evie asked me. "She-she uh... she hung herself out the window while I was talking to my dad. He tried banishing her. She killed herself! It's all my fault! This is all my fault!" I cried. I looked at Mal. She was pale and she had a bruise ring around her neck. Then I noticed it was fading. He skin regained a little color and her eyes slowly opened. She looked around the room. When her eyes landed on me she started crying. "Ben, I'm so sorry!" She cried as she ran into my arms. My mom entered the room. "She's alive?" She asked in disbelief. I nodded. My dad walked in. "Ben, Mal, I am extremely sorry for the way I acted. Mal, I hope you will forgive me for all I have done to you in the past week. I truly am sorry." He said and walked out of the room. Evie walked over to Mal and began singing.

Mal joined in. Their singing was breathtaking. Mal was really good. So was Evie. I looked at Mal. "What?" She asked, giggling a little. "I never knew you liked singing! Your really good at it! You too Evie!" I said. Mal hugged me. We spent the rest of the day together. Just the two of us.
