VIII

---Outside of the Vampire city---
I slowly open my eyes adjusting to the bright light that surrounds me. I lifted my head off a old torn up mattress. I directly look left seeing Saki snoring on his look out job. I got up searching to see what lies around for the trip ahead. I see an alleyway to my right that looks like it's been used in the last ten day. I walked down the alley keeping my eyes open.

I turn the corner to find a old army uniform, black cloth, map, and a sword. I lifted the uniform and also put the sword on my back. I looked down at the map deciding to go north up to my abandoned town.

I walk out of the alleyway to see Saki with a plate of fresh cooked meat. I walked over touching his shoulder.

He looked over at me giving me a little smile. I grabbed the plate of cooked meat and start eating.

Saki stayed silent the whole time. He loved the old look of the run down buildings and I wouldn't blame him for it. I looked around watching the sunrise.

I looked over at Saki when I felt his gaze on me. "Yums we need to get moving. Your house is about 8 hours away." Saki stated.

I gave quick nod standing up getting ready to get on the old army uniform which is warmer than the vampire slave outfits.

I threw on the torn uniform. It was green with a weird tear, also with a little blood stain on it.

I walked back over to Saki who conveniently found a old trench coat. He turned the direction of my house and started walking a few feet in front of me.

---5 hours later---
We turned down an abandoned road filled with torn up buildings. I looked left and right trying to find a place with a room to rest. I turned down a few more streets and saw an torn abandoned house. Saki and I walk towards it expecting everything in site.

As I enter the old modern house I kept my eyes open for any resources. The first room I walked into was a wooden office. The walls are a dark oak with a sword with red and black sword. I walk over behind the desk reaching out for the sharp katana.

"Don't touch that Yums." Saki demanded. I looked over at him questioning his motives on why I shouldn't touch it. I lifted my hands above showing that I surrender. I took a few steps towards Saki till I felt myself falling backwards. I tried to catch myself from falling but I ended up grabbing the sword on the wall. I ended on the floor with sword in my hands. I slowly felt myself get dizzy and start getting black dots in my vision.

"Saki get me to my house." I say as he nods his head. I slowly close my eyes letting the darkness consume me.
