Comments are greatly appreciated. I need to know what you think!
I start at the very beginning.
"I was driving down the road, on my way home from the latest party. It was almost 2 AM and there was no car around but mine. All the sudden a few cars come flying towards me and one swerves to get in front of me. They slam on their brakes and I slam into the back of them, unable to stop fast enough. Before I knew it there was a car on all sides of me. I was trapped."
I look up at Matt to make sure he is taking it all in, and he gives me a reassuring smile.
"I began screaming at the top of my lungs but that just made them laugh. 'Nice try Girly,' they said to me, 'but no one is around to hear you'. and with that they grabbed me. They gagged me and drugged me so that I wouldn't remember the way to their warehouse. When I woke up and looked around I found that I wasn't alone. Though there were many kids there my age, only a few of them were still alive. I began sobbing and begging for my life, but this just made them laugh harder."
By this time I'm crying, and Matt is squeezing my hand trying to comfort me. When that doesn't work he pulls me up to sit next to him on the hospital bed.
"By the second night that I spent there my entire body was covered in cuts. All I wanted was to go home, at this point I didn't even care if it was in a coffin. I was in so much pain, all I did was cry. The last night that I was there, before they found us, the man that was keeping us held a knife to my throat."
I touch the scar without thinking about it.
"He started laughing and slowly slit my throat. Luckily at that same point the cops busted through the warehouse doors and he never got my jugular. I was so scared and I had lost so much blood. When they finally got me to a hospital I had slipped into a coma. I was never supposed to wake up, but about a month later my eyes fluttered open. I'm so paranoid all the time. I couldn't drive myself anywhere for nearly six months because I thought they would find me again. When you came running up to me at the park I almost fainted because I was so scared that you were one of them."
He pulls me even closer to him, and even though he is a complete stranger I allow it. I feel so close to him, and I hug him back.
"I swear I know what you are going through, and if you'll let me, I want to help you through this as much as I can."
I look up at him and his smile is beaming back down at me.
"Of course!" he exclaims and then bends down and kisses my forehead. It was the most magical thing I have ever felt.
