Chapter 1

I am now a agent of S.H.I.E.L.D and they had sent me to single handedly investigate a trans-dimensional portal. It has me wondering if it was the Bifröst in Asgard. But there hasn't been an occurrence since I was 16.

I pull up to the approximate sight of the report, outside a national park of forest. Police have lined the area as people try and get a glimpse of the site. I walk my way towards a man dressed in blue. Men, women and children stare at me. It probably has to do with the fact that I am wearing a black mini skirt, black jacket, white blouse with dark sunglasses. I look like a business person or a spy. I sling my bag over my shoulder and the man in blue turns around.

"I'm sorry ma'am. No one is allowed past this point without a government pass."

"Sergeant Connors, I'm with S.H.I.E.L.D. I don't need a government pass, I'm above the government," I dig into my bag and pull out my S.H.I.E.L.D. badge, which he stares at intently "and until further notice this area is under S.H.I.E.L.D.'s radar, not the president's."

As I put my badge back in my bag the policeman says "Jasmine? Jasmine Holt?" I look at him and see a look of disbelief on his face. "I thought you were dead. After your father-"

"It's Coulson, actually. Not Holt." I had left my old sir name behind after I found out how my parents died, after I was told that my family was killed in a gas explosion.

"Bert," I take my sunglasses off "are you going to continue stalling me, or do I have to place you under arrest." his face drops to fright and he stands aside and lets me pass. As I duck under the police tape I laugh quietly to myself at the irony of what just happened.

I make my way through the dense vegetation. After about five minutes I find myself surrounded by knocked down trees. Even trees with the thickest trunks have been uprooted. Lying face down in the middle of the clearing is a body. I run over to it. Long black hair hides the face of the person, but I can tell it's a man. I slide the hair out of his face and I almost fall backwards at the face so familiar to me; Loki.

Loki, the person that so often haunted my dreams. But I remember him differently. I remember his face harsh, unforgiving, cruel. But I see it changed. Harmless, gentle, kinder than my dreams portrayed him. Something inside me opened up, I don't feel hatred towards him, instead I'm urged to protect him.

"I can change you." I whisper, even though I know he can't hear me. But for precaution, I handcuff him. His eyes flash open. His frightened, confused eyes lay on me.

"Who are you?" He asks terrified

"I'm Jasmine Coulson, with S.H.I.E.L.D. I'm not going to hurt you." I say as he sits upright

"Are you arresting me?"

"That depends. Are you going to kill me, like you did my Father?"

He gives me a confused look.

"Let's see um... The battle of New York. Ring any bells?" I explain

"I don't want to hurt you, or anyone." He says solemnly

"Well either way I have to get you out of her without anyone recognising you." I reach into my bag and pull out a large piece of black cloth. "Just follow my orders."

He leans his head forward and I place the cloth over his head and secure it tightly at the back. I pull him to his feet and lead him by the cuff of his shirt. I successfully lead him to the edge of the forest. I walk back past Sergeant Connors.

"Who's that?"

I don't stop as I reply "He didn't tell me." I open the car door open and shove Loki inside. "Always a pleasure to see you Bert."I say as I walk around to the driver's door and get in.
