Night with a demon

I had to sit and think of a way to approach this girl without actually scaring her, a grown man can't exactly waltz right into a teenage girls room and not expect some kind of negative reaction. I sat there outside her window and thought up a plan. Only she can see me so why am I so worried?
I entered the window and was trying to be super quiet so I didn't wake her up. She looked so peaceful, I gently stroked her face, I couldn't help smiling. All the images of my sweet Clara flooded to my head.
The girl woke up, I didn't notice until she let out a blood curdling scream. I reacted as quickly as I could and covered her mouth with my hand, she was sobbing loudly and pleading for me to let her go. This didn't go the way I intended, I needed to think of a plan to calm her down. Just than I remembered the cross in my pocket, I braced myself for the pain I was about to endure and took my free hand and pulled out the little cross. It immediately began to burn my skin, the girl suddenly stopped sobbing and looked at me and held out her hand, I happily dropped the small necklace in her hand. She just looked at me as if she now knew she could trust me.
She cleared her throat and her voice was hoarse but she managed to talk, who are you and why are you here?
Well I am Simon and I'm one of the demons that jumped you that day.
Her eyes got huge and she scooted back to the wall while holding her blanket tightly.
Why did you do that to me? I can't sleep and when I do manage to sleep I have awful nightmares. My grades have dropped in school and none of my friends want to be around me anymore. They said I've been acting too strange and they don't like my "new tattoos".
I dropped my head in shame and sighed deeply, this is all my fault.
What do you mean? Explain yourself now. The girl demanded and was yelling.
I quickly hushed her, do you want your parents to come up here and see you talking to yourself? They can't see me so hush.
That hushed her quickly and she just shook her head no.
So do you have anything planned for tomorrow because this might take all night?
She just shook her head no and I could tell she would listen to my every word without fail. Humans are always so gullible, I could tell her anything right now and she would believe me. But I better tell her the truth. 
Well let me start with that I didn't mean for any of this to happen. My "friend" Damon is to eager and completely misheard me. I saw you and I started thinking about my dead daughter because you look just like her and he took that as a cue to attack. That is the shorten version of the story and oh yeah Damon wants to kill you now and he will more than likely get some other demons to help him, so you might want to stay alert about that.
The girl just look completely dumbfounded and she seemed she was just trying to process everything I just told her, okay let me get this straight, there is a demon who wants to kill me and he will get more demons to help him do so?
Yeah basically.
She breathed deeply as if she was calming herself down, are you here to kill me?
No if anything I want to protect you.
Okay well tell me how I can protect myself.
I began to think, well that cross is enough to damage us. I showed her my hand, but it already started to heal. But as you can tell it isn't enough to stop us. So just kinda keep some holy objects close and no joke just throw the items at them and run to a room with nothing but holy objects. That would slow them down enough for you to figure out what to do. But don't worry I'll protect you for the first few nights. Unfortunately I'll have to hurt you a little so Damon won't get suspicious.
The girls face turned white as a ghost, I could tell she was engulfed by fear. 
Well you better get some sleep.
She just shook her head yes and laid down, I stayed and watched over her all night. I had to come up with a plan to protect this poor girl. She doesn't deserve any of this.
