Taehyung sighed in sadness as he looked at the mark that had formed on the side of his ankle.
To a human it looked like a simple smudge created by a drawing, a coal pencil. But any angel knew exactly what it was at first glance.
It was a taint signifying that the angel had committed a sin. The more severe the sin, the longer it would take to disappear.
'The sin I committed was Lust.' Taehyung thought to himself. 'But how severe was it?'
Judging by the fact that the mark was no bigger than the size of a coin, and didn't hurt much at all, he figured that he had indulged in the bare minimum of the sin.
The angel bit his lower lip in disappointment. Even though he was sure this would happen, a small part of him couldn't help but hope that the kiss he shared with Jungkook didn't mark him.
If he wasn't tainted it would have proved that it was an act motivated purely by the emotion of love, and nothing else.
But then again, Taehyung was well aware of the fact that true love almost never exists on it's own among the humans, it is almost always accompanied by varying amounts of lust.
And it wasn't like Jungkook had spent enough time with Taehyung to fall in love with him.
On the contrary, their relationship was complicated to say the least.
They were supposed to be just friends, but it was obvious to Taehyung that Jungkook wouldn't mind crossing that line, and then again, with everything that was happening, the blond also knew that Jungkook wasn't even sure if he could trust him completely.
Taehyung gently hit the back of his head against the wall in frustration, looking at the blemished ceiling of the room he was being held captive in.
'Why do humans make everything so difficult?' He thought to himself.Angels were always straight forward and had simple rules of emotions and interactions, they didn't feel a hundred things at once, nor did they over-analyse things the way Taehyung, in his human form was doing.
The angel was being doused in confusion as to what he was experiencing. Just like he had predicted the kiss he shared with Jungkook kept his mind off the pain and loneliness he was experiencing, but now he was stuck thinking only about the brunet.
Taehyung couldn't help but replay the moment in his head over and over again, he knew he made a mistake by kissing the brunet. He wasn't supposed to, but he wasn't thinking about that.
Instead, the angel was wondering if Jungkook was thinking about him too, if whether the kiss meant anything to the brunet or was if Jungkook kissed him back only out of pity.
