"Mind if I stay at your place for a while, Eva," Mei pleaded, dropping her cigarette butt into the street below.

"Sure, Dara won't mind."

"Thanks, my boyfriend doesn't like the smell of cigarettes," she contended, sighing at the ground. "I've been dying to smoke after countless weeks of trying not to."

"Keep smoking and you'll die for sure."

"Haha very funny, Eva," she joked, pinching my right cheek.

We walked the busy streets to my hotel complex. My home was near our company, so it would take no more than 10 minutes to get from work to home, vice versa. As we crossed the street, the doorman noticed us from afar and opened the entrance doors. I reached into my pocket for the 20 dollars that I had in my bag and kindly handed it to the man to show my gratitude. We head into the elevator of the hotel lobby and Mei pushed the button to the 10th floor.

"You're too kind sometimes," Mei implied as she sighed again.

The elevator doors opened to the 10th floor and felt the warm air rush through our exposed skin. It sent shivers down Mei's spine as for me, it was pleasant. We head down the hall and stopped in front of room #1001. Before searching through my light pink backpack for my hotel room key, Mei swiftly grabbed my wrist.

"Do you hear that," she muttered. "Doesn't that sound like someone's mo-"

I lifted a finger against my lip and rested my ear on the door. My eyes widen at the sound of a female voice. Her voice was muffled and I could not hear her voice clearly, but I definitely heard her moaning and giggling. Slowly, I grabbed the keys in my bag and carefully placed the key into the door lock. Once opened, they were gone, making it seem like no one was home.

"They're in the room," Mei whispered. "Go carefully."

Before walking into the bedroom, Mei headed into the kitchen. Was she looking for a snack at this very moment? Pfft~ that fat@$$. She then walked up next to me and held a sharp kitchen knife in her hand. I jumped back and pointed at the knife she was holding. "Put that back! We are not going to commit any murder!"

"Dara's b%#@$ is going to pay," she murmured.

I sighed, knowing there was no use in stopping her now. Mei and I glanced at each other as we continued to eavesdrop on the sounds we heard through the door in my bedroom. On the count to three, we swung open the door and there Dara was. Naked along with the girl that both, Mei and I recognized very well.

"Elijah! You wh#@%," Mei exclaimed. "How could you do this to Eva?"

Both of them screamed and tried to cover themselves with the blanket that they had over each other. As for Mei, she walked up to both Elijah and Dara with the knife pointed out towards them. During Mei's attempted attack, I wasn't able to process what was happening before my eyes and continued to stare at Elijah in distress. Dara would never cheat on me, even he too promised me that he wouldn't. That liar. My eyes were covered in tears affecting my vision to become blurry.

"Baby! Listen, I can explain," Dara shouted.

I looked over at Dara protecting Elijah, who was screaming in terror as Mei continued to threaten them with the kitchen knife. I look away from him, ignoring everything he was trying to say to me. He knew that we were both caught up in our jobs, so I thought he would have understood that we will be distance at times and that we cannot always be there to give each other what we want. However, he does not and continued with these childish acts. In conclusion, this motherf%#@er does not deserve to live under my roof for being utterly stupid in making those type of decisions. Enragement had overtaken my emotions and without hesitation, I pulled Mei by the arm causing her to glance over at me with shock. "Drop the knife, Mei. Help me take these two a$$holes outside."
