05.
It was mid-August now and every single part of my summer had been spent with Harry's group of friends; though, I had spent it mostly with Harry. Whether that was in his apartment bedroom, napping together, or even on his balcony, smoking and listening to music together. Even grocery shopping with him was a fun experience, and it was apparent that I had officially moved into Harry's apartment. Though, I wasn't paying rent since my job in New York was still non-existent.

Angelina and I would also have frequent trips to the parks surrounding New York, some were very obscure and quiet which were the ones we favoured. Angelina would lie onto the grassy floor straight away and admire the trees above her, swaying in the light breeze. Every time I saw her, it was clear that she had had her fix of narcotics. But the funny thing was, even on the drugs and alcohol, I found her to be the most normal person I knew. One time that we visited a park, a thunder storm began and we hid huddled underneath a tree until Harry came to rescue us with his pick-up truck but she had already peacefully fallen asleep in my arms against the tree trunk.

Harry thought nothing of it, merely picking her up and putting her into the backseat space of the truck where Harry kept a bunch of blankets, she carried on sleeping like a baby there. I sat in the front passenger seat on the way home, well my temporary home. Angelina slept in Harry's bed that night, whilst Harry and I slept close beside each other on the sofa, a huge candle on the coffee table lit for comfort.

One time I can vividly remember from my Summer in 1972 was when the group and I travelled from our home space in down town New York to Aurora, a village near the sea. The thought of the sea appealed to Angelina and Beatrix on such a hot summers day. I thought the most amazing thing, that day, was how we could all fit in Harry's pick-up truck. Smith, Beatrix and Angelina sat in the back seats, Angelina acting as their child seated between them, whilst I was in the front with Harry, by his request.

It wasn't long until Smith and Harry were the only ones awake during the trip; Beatrix leant against the window, Angelina leaning against her shoulder and I was back against the seat.

"Girls, we're here." Smith spoke up, awakening the sleeping souls of the truck. As soon as I looked at Harry, he caught eye contact and smiled my way, comfortingly holding my shoulder.

"You were pretty out, Woodford." He stated.

"Yeah, I almost forgot where we were." I reply.

"We're in Aurora!" Angelina shouted with excitement.

"Come on, let's get out and head to the sea side. We can get settled into the shacks." Beatrix says.

"Shacks?" I question.

"We came here a few summers ago, they have shacks near the seaside where people can stay for the night." Harry explains to me and I nod.

"That's cool."

When we got to the seaside, the sun had already pretty much burned everybody. We found an area with sand that Angelina really liked so we parked the truck nearby and grabbed a bunch of towels, throwing them onto the ground and sitting upon them. Harry grabbed a box of snacks and threw them on the ground nearby also.

"It's such a beautiful day." Angelina said as she leant back on her palms on the blankets. "Mr Blue Sky has definitely made a comeback."

"Yeah." Smith laughed as he sat beside Beatrix, who looked just as happy as Angelina to be in the sweltering sun.

Harry eventually sat beside me, taking his jacket from his shoulders and putting it next to him. Smith opened the box of snacks and grinned widely as he grabbed a bottle of champagne from inside of it.
