secrets and serendipity // Colby Brock

chapter 5

*Colby's Pov*

While Graylin is getting in her shower I get in the guest room shower. I would normally take a shower in the morning like I normally do, but I've been in beach water.

As the warm water poured on my skin I started to reminisce about our time at the beach. Our kiss, her lips felt soft as rose petals against mine. I wish they were still there.

The best part is after all these years of waiting, she's finally mine. I love her so much, I'm never gonna let her slip away.

After I was done washing my body, I  grabbed some of the shampoo that was on the shelf of the shower and started to wash my hair.
This body wash and shampoo had a strong feminine smell, which really freaking sucks.

Once I was done I rinsed out the suds and turned the water off. I stepped out of the shower and that's when realization hit. Oh damn my towel.
I can't just run out there with
Brock-o-conda swinging freely.

Maybe I can just make a run for it. I grabbed my dirty clothes and peeked my head out the door, to make sure Graylin wasn't out of the shower.

The water is still running from her bathroom, yes! I run into her room and quickly dry off with my towel that was lying on top of my suitcase.

That would've been embarrassing if she got out before me and saw what just happened. Oh God, I hope I never do that again.

I take some lotion out of my suitcase and rubbed it over my body. At least I have something to mask the smell of flowers due to the body wash I used. Sadly my hair is still going to smell like that.

I then put on a pair of black boxers, that's all I wear to bed. It's more comfortable that way.

I hear Graylin getting out of the shower and I teleported downstairs to get snacks for the movie. Once downstairs, I grabbed a bag of airhead bites,starburst​, Skittles, and two bottles of raspberry iced tea.Not all movies require popcorn.

I'll wait a few minutes to make sure she's dressed first, I don't want to walk on her while she's naked.

"Colby?"

"Are you done getting dressed?" I yelled.

"Yes."

I walked upstairs and into her room with our snacks and drinks. She grabbed them from my hands and then placed them on her bed. Man.

She's wearing short navy blue spandex shorts and a shirt that read 'mickey mouse' on the front. Everything about her is so knees-weakening perfect.

She turned on her Tv and put in the DVD for Madagascar (it's not all about Netflix guys). After the Tv read the disk and started to play the movie, she layed down on her bed.

I turned off the lights and then sat on the floor. She tapped my shoulder and I turned around. Her eyebrows were furrowed together in confusion.

"Why are you sitting down there?" She asked.

"I didn't want to make you uncomfortable."

"You won't." She said scooting over to give me a place to lay down.

"Thank you."

I opened the bag of airhead bites and we started to eat them. I felt eyes on me and I glanced over to see Graylin staring at me. She quickly looked away once I caught her.

"Like what you see?" I asked while laughing.

"I don't know what you're talking about! I just saw a spider on the wall." Her face got red as a tomato.
