"Next." Chriss moved up the line to the counter where the lady was standing. 'Which syllabus would you like to choose?" She asked politely. "Demon hunting, vampire hunting, werewolf hunti...." He was cut off before he could finish, "should I give you all the hunting classes?" "Yes please." She gave him a sheet and he moved past the counter and in a minute he was joined by Brett, his companion." You ready bro," said Brett. "Hell yeah."

They had their first day off, during which they mostly explored the school. "I'm pretty sure there are going to be tons of demons and vampires, even werewolves," said Chriss. "Too bad zombies can't come in the day," replied Brett. They both had a laugh knowing well enough that zombies didn't exist, but demons, vampires and werewolves existed. They retired to their room for the evening and slept hard that night, because they knew that they won't get such a good sleep through the whole year.

They clambered out of bed for the first day and in fifteen minutes, they were ready to go. "Shall we," said Brett. "Of course," replied Chriss, as they set out for their first class, demon hunting.

"We don't have time for any nonsense, I'll cut straight to the teaching. First of all, noobs like you have no power to kill demons but you can defeat and perhaps capture them...." The lecture continued for some time until the class was dismissed and it was time for lunch.

When they entered the cafeteria, Chriss felt as if he was being watched, and not in a good way. "Do you feel it too?" asked Brett, who felt the same feeling. "Yeah." They looked around but everyone seemed to mind their own business. They served themselves some weird looking food, not caring about the shape as they were starving. They sat on a table by themselves. A boy who was in their class joined their table. He had jet black hair and brown eyes, and wore a casual outfit, which made him look handsome. With his light complexion and medium build, he looked handsome to Chriss and Brett, who were both skinny and had light brown hair and black eyes. "I'm Vishor, from the Takagawe clan." Brett's eyes widened open," the famous samurai clan?" asked Brett. "Yes," he replied silently and he started chewing his food. "So, tell us about your life, must be pretty cool being a part an awesome clan," said Chriss with a huge grin on his face. "Actually my parents were ambushed by demons and they died so I got sent here," he replied with an even bigger grin. Chriss and Brett looked horrified and they just stared at Vishor as if he were a nuclear bomb survivor. "It's okay, it was a long time ago but I still want to kill every single demon there is on earth," he said. "Well, I can't blame you," replied Chriss. The day passed, after werewolf hunting, they learned vampire hunting and much more.

"We are getting late for history, come fast," shouted Brett to Chriss, who just grabbing his pen and he rushed out and they went out together. They reached just in time and they saw Vishor at the back, who waved at them, they had made a couple of new friends. Vishor's roommate, Ashish was an Indian who was quite intelligent and he had befriended them recently, he was a year younger to Chriss and Brett but was around the same height, with black hair and blue eyes. "Okay class, settle down," said the teacher, Mrs. Bloren, who seemed to be in her mid-forties, with her peculiar eyes, "today we will be learning about the demon and vampire lords, the ones who almost wiped us from existence."

"Long ago, there were four demon lords, who were very powerful. They could match many of us preachers." Preachers were the people who hunted all the demons and ogres and killed them. "These four demon lords teamed up with four of the vampire lords but luckily the werewolves did not team up with them, otherwise we would have been wiped out for sure." All the people in class looked at few of the werewolves in class, as they grinned and a few growled. "It took us all of our best warriors to defeat them, so many fell, and such great warriors fell. There was one special man called Warren Shallow, he took down two whole vampire lords by himself, but he was then killed. We could not fathom our defeat, yet we built everything the way it used to be, now here we are. Our motto used to be, and still is Justicia Semper Valet, justice always prevails." When the bell rang, there was an announcement, the physical training began tomorrow, and the outfit would already be there in the dorm rooms. "Finally," sighed Brett. The rest of the day passed through normally, the next day the adventure began.

Brett and Chriss dressed up and jogged to the training ground, where a bunch of students were already there. They first jogged for fifty kilometers. Many of the students started collapsing at ten kilometers. Luckily, Chriss and Brett were in excellent shape and Vishor was easily keeping up with them. They were trailed by a few students, who were obviously born to be Preachers. A bit behind them was Ashish, who was there with Pristine, a girl of his age with blonde hair and tall build. After the fifty kilometers were finished, the whole day we practiced with other weapons, Vishor obviously showing off his sword skills, while Chriss found his partiality with the crossbow and Brett was still searching for his weapon. Crossbow didn't fit him, nor did a knife. He had even tried a spear. "Brett" shouted the instructor. Brett ran up to him and the instructor asked him if he had his weapon ready, "not yet sir". "Doesn't matter, get in the circle." There was a huge circle drawn there, sort of like a gladiator match. Brett walked in the circle and a boy called Albert was standing in front of him, with an axe in his hand, "what will you take," asked Albert? "I don't know, let me see the weapon section," he replied. He saw a curved double edged sort of knife, he picked two of those up, and they felt perfect in his hands. "It's called a haladie," Albert said, who seemed to come from a family of preachers. As Brett stepped into the circle, the instructor announced that he was going to summon a friendly demon, who we have to kill on our own, with our weapon. As Brett went into the circle the teacher muttered a chant, and in front of everyone, a demon appeared, his skin was red and he had tiny horns, his long nails and sharp teeth glared, though we had no fight experience, we all knew from the classes exactly what we had to do. The demon lunged at Brett but he dodged it with surprising agility and went behind him and quickly used his haladie to stab him straight in the heart. The demon cried out in agony and then disappeared in a puff. As Brett walked out Vishor went in with two swords, he could have done this in his sleep. After the demon was summoned, he first cut the demons hands and before he could stab him, the demon vanished. Chriss went into the circle and just when the demon was summoned, he took a shot with his crossbow and it hit the demon straight in the head. Few more students accomplished this easily, the others could hardly cope up so the instructor had to intervene to save them.

At the end of the session, the instructor walked up to a few number of students and told them that they would have a special batch for themselves because they were all prodigies, the most prodigies ever in one batch. The people in the batch were Vishor, Ashish, Chriss, Brett, Albert, Pristine, Ebizo, a Japanese who used a katana, and Diana, who used throwing discuses, a very unique ability. "From tomorrow," Chriss thought," from tomorrow the real training will start."
