The next morning Sam went to Celothia and Victoria's shared room to check on the latter, bringing her aspirin and a glass of water from the kitchen. He set them down quietly on the nightstand beside her bed before sitting, watching her stir awake.
Victoria groans as she turns on her side, facing Sam. "Good morning," he said softly. "I'm so sorry about last night.." she spoke out softly, her voice choking up. Sam noticed she had tears in her eyes, and she sniffed quietly.
"You shouldn't drink." He whispered, leaning towards her on the bed. Victoria nodded shortly, still sniffing as a tear slipped from the side of her eye. She quickly wiped it away and nodded, sitting up fast only to close her eyes and wince in pain.
"Here," Sam said, picking up the water and aspirin, handing it to her. "I had to wake up before everyone else to avoid an interrogation." He chuckled slightly, getting quiet once he saw her looking down, swallowing hard.
"That's so embarrassing!" She spoke suddenly, crying now. Sam's heart broke watching her, and he went to comfort her before she pulled away from him, making him hurt more. "Victoria," he started, but she shook her head, not listening. "Victoria, it's okay, I promise you. You had a slip up and overestimated yourself but it's no big deal." He said, trying to console her.
"Sam, I bet I made the biggest fool of myself last night. I probably looked like an idiot, and especially in front of you." Sam's ears perked up hearing that she felt embarrassed in front of him, and he felt good that she worried about what he thought but brushed off the idea when he remembered the situation he was in.
"Look, it doesn't matter to me, so it definitely shouldn't matter to you, alright? We're gonna go out there and eat because Zion and Lo are making breakfast. We're gonna enjoy it, and forget last night happened. Okay?" She nodded reluctantly.
"Take the aspirin, and get outta bed." Sam said, and got up to walk to the door. When he turned to face her, she was swallowing the water and leaving the bed. She walked towards him, mustering a small smile before Sam opened the door, leading the way.
They headed to the kitchen where everyone else already was eating and sat down with them.
Victoria barely got into her food when Cammie started in.
"And I thought I couldn't hold my guts. Did you throw it all up last night?" She snickered, shoving a piece of waffle in her mouth and chewing smugly. Victoria rolled her eyes before she responded.
"It's only been a day, and you're already causing shit. Shut up." Sam put his hand on her knee, sending her a glance that she was sure meant to stop talking. She sighed in response.
This, of course, did not go unnoticed by Cammie.
"Well, it's not my fault you got shitfaced and couldn't take care of yourself. I mean, we can't all be spoiled enough to have a Sam ready at our every whim; and whose fault was it in the first place?" She challenged.
Celothia jumped in now, rolling her eyes. "Cammie, really, just shut up. It's too early for all of this."
"Shut your happy-go-lucky ass up, nobody addressed you anyway." Cammie snapped back, snickering a bit.
Zion stood up at this, causing her laugh to catch in her throat as he towered over her. "How about you shut it up, because nobody has time for your shit today? Also, leave Celothia out of this, or deal with me." He almost growled at her, his eyes narrowing in on her. Cammie still tried to keep up her tough front, but her resolve was visibly dissolving.
"First of all, she brought herself into this, trying to be a damn keeper for boozy here; and I did say nobody was even talking to her. Second, what shit should I stop? I won't doing nothing but asking a fellow housemate why she came on this show knowing all this drinking would happen, and she a whole damn alcoholic!"
