Emotions (CastielxReader)

You were at the 24/7 local diner, sobbing your heart out. The old lady who worked the night shift was comforting you, seeing that there was no one else present. "Oh, you poor girl. That man doesn't deserve a sweet angel like you. You deserve so much better than this." You had just found out that your boyfriend of five years had been cheating on you with your best friend since two years. You had wanted to surprise him at his apartment but instead it was you who was met with a devastating truth and a shocking surprise.

Before the drama unfolded you were texting with a friend you met in College, Sam Winchester. And he wanted to meet up somewhere, so after you stormed out of your boyfriend's place you told him to come to the diner seeing he was in the area. Martha, the old lady had went into the back to have dinner with her waiting son and again you felt the reality crushing into you but since you were meeting with a friend you decide to freshen up a bit. After a while you see a black Impala stopping in front of the building.

You saw Sam getting out along with a brooding man who was in a beige trench coat. You get up and hug Sam who smiles and hugs you back. "(Y/N)! It's been just too long. This is my friend, Castiel." You turn to look at the handsome blue eyed man. Who nods at you, and you nod back. Martha comes back and asks for your orders, you order a sandwich while Sam and Castiel order two dinner platters. You were going to ask Sam something when your phone starts ringing and you see your ex's number coming up.

You groan and shut off your phone and Sam looks at you with questioning eyes and your forced to answer,"I just found out that my boyfriend has been cheating on me with my best friend for TWO years. I didn't let him explain and just left him and here I am having a late night dinner with you guys." Castiel looked at you with his head cocked to the side while Sam said,"I'm so sorry to hear that. I-" he's suddenly cut off by his phone and he excuses himself to take the call. And you stay still.

Sam comes back with an apologetic face and tells you,"I'm so sorry. Dean needs me somewhere very urgently." Then he turns to Castiel,"Can you make sure that (Y/N) gets home safely? I'll come pick you up, okay?" Then Sam grabs his coat and and hugs you goodbye before driving away. Castiel looks at you as if he was looking through your soul but you get distracted when Martha comes up to you with the bill which you pay. In the car you and Castiel both are silent but you guess that he didn't talk if it's unnecessary.

You reach your apartment and let Castiel inside. You head around the place collecting all of your ex's belongings and storing them in the box reminding yourself that you had to mail it over to the douchebag because he was a jerk who wouldn't come get it himself. "What are you feeling right now, (Y/N)?" You looked up in surprise, Castiel was so silent that you had forgotten that he was even here. "I'm feeling betrayal after five years of loyalty which was one sided by the way. I'm angry at myself for bing so naive, so damn innocent."

"I mean I understand that after being in a relationship for so long with nothing new, the love kind of dies. But you have to have the courage to let your partner go properly or at least talk it out and figure things out, and not just leave the partner just hanging there thinking about what he or she could have done differently." You had ranted and you felt lighter as if a heavy boulder had been lifted off of you before you could be completely crushed by your emotions. Castiel had been standing there listening to every single word.

You blush before sealing off the box with the address and a little message inside the box hidden between his belongings. You get up and go to the kitchen to go make yourself some mint tea and some for your strange guest as well who had made you feel better without even trying. Castiel came in and sat down,"I don't know what you are going through but these...emotions, they will go away. And you will feel happiness again. I promise." He was talking to you as if he was confident enough to fix this for you, and it was working.

After a while you heard your phone ringing and saw Sam's name on the screen which meant he was here to pick 'Cas' up and yes he let you call him that. When they were about to leave you give Castiel a long hug because he made you feel happier and special. "Thanks, Cas. You really lifted my spirits today. I'm grateful." He gives you a tighter hug and then let's go but before getting into the car he says,"Your welcome,(Y/N). And if you ever need me again, just um...pray." You let out a small giggle.

He gets in and after Sam and Dean say their goodbye you finally wave them off. Never forgetting what Cas had said to make you feel better.
