"Oh my god!" Castiel looked at me in shock as I cried out in pain, I had burnt my finger and was cussing my heart out. He quickly pulled my hand under cold water and then retrieved the toothpaste from the bathroom and applied it on my finger, the instant relief was more than welcome.

I turned and gave him the tightest hug possible, "Thank you so much, Cas." He stood there without moving and then I let go. His cheeks were red, and his skin felt hot to the touch, I got worried, "Are you okay, Castiel?" He shook his head, "Your embrace took me by surprise, (Y/N)" I giggled and kissed his cheek.

And at that very moment he put a hand on his heart and collapsed on to a chair. I giggled as I moved out of the kitchen to find the first aid kit to apply a balm and bandage my throbbing finger.

Cas was laughing when I left and suddenly I knew why Cas looked like he had a heart attack, my own heart was thundering beyond limits. We both had realised at the same time that we liked each other.

And after years of dating I finally had the guts to say, "In the name of Chuck, Castiel. I am utterly in love with you."
