Being the wife of a famous lawyer is never easy, Sam was never home. He never had the time for the kids or me, even if he was at home. All he could think or talk about was work, work, and work. And the public had high hopes for me. They expected me to have a thriving career just like my husband. But, I decided to be a housewife and focus on my family.

I was getting the kids ready for bed, and I heard Sams car just pull into the driveway. I tucked them in and went out to greet him. He looked exhausted, I decided not to voice out my annoyance at him over the last few weeks. He silently kissed me on the cheek and headed towards the kitchen, where his dinner was waiting for him hot and steaming. He sat down and started eating.

"How was work, honey?" I ask, and he visibly winces. He ran a hand through his long hair. "I...um...I decided to take a break for a few weeks." I looked at him with concern. "Is everything okay, Sam?" He shook his head as tears gather in his eyes. I quickly wrap my arms around his broad shoulders and he rests his chin on the top of my head. "I missed you and the kids too much. And stress at work was killing me." I nodded and started rubbing his arms to comfort him.

He gives me a slight smile, and I kiss him. He relaxes, "Dean's going to take over the firm for as long as I need to relax. So, here I am, at your complete disposal." I give him a broad smile, "Before you go and kiss the kids good night. How were Cas and Dean holding up? I haven't seen them in ages." He told me about how excited they were to be adopting an orphan from Africa and I couldn't be happier for them.

After Sam had greeted our sleepy kids, we headed down to the TV lounge to relax and unwind with a glass of wine. I voiced out my complaints and he apologised very much. But I couldn't stay mad at him for too long, he had put on our wedding song and we danced away the night in lovely memories.
