Important!! Please read!!

Hey guys! New chapter. I started the same day when I posted chapter 8!!
So....just a note.
I don't quite know anything about cancer, least of all blood cancer. I know that there is a cure for it, but this is fiction. It's just a story.
Even the side effects of the cancer or anything related to cancer in this story is my imagination.
So please bear with me.

-------------------

Waking up, Elizabeth groaned in pain.
She had a killer headache and she felt as if she had been run over by a truck.

What the heck is wrong with me? I'm never this tired.

Thinking about it, she realized she had been here for a week.
She knew she had about four to six months as of now.

Perhaps all the work and not enough rest was taking a toll on her and she might have lesser time.

And on top of that, that blood sucking leech!!

"Oh God!"
She muttered.
She had promised not to utter a single curse or think bad or do bad.

I have to live these last few months peacefully and joyfully.
Well, as peaceful and joyful as it can be.

Taking a deep breath and putting on a fake smile on her lips, she got off the bed, grimacing in pain as her head throbbed.

Heading to the kitchen, she realized that it was already night and everyone was most likely asleep.
She slept through almost the whole day!

Opening the first aid cabinet, she took out some painkillers.
Gulping down two pills with a glass of water, she then headed back to her room.

Sitting on her bed with a heavy sigh, she was ready to sleep again when she suddenly felt chills. The kind you get when you feel as if you are being watched .

She was not alone. Call it sixth sense or something, but she knew it was not paranoia. There was definitely someone in the room.

Eli's spine stiffened and goosebumps covered her body.
Standing up straight, she could literally hear her heart beating.

"Who's there?"
She tried her best to hold in the fear from her voice.

Suddenly a cool breeze caressed her skin and a silhouette was in front of her.
She let out a gasp

"You are quite observant. Guess I did pick a good one this time"
It was Vincent who whispered.
His cool minty breath caressed her face like a lover's caress.

Eli's mind suddenly went blank when Vincent lifted a pale finger and traced the side of her face gently.
The little hair on her face lifted, creating goosebumps and she shivered.

What's happening?

His head slowly lowered until he was eye to eye with her.
His vibrant blue eyes clashing against her piercing green ones.

Then his head lowered even more and soft breaths caressed her neck.

Elizabeth was in a trance. It was as if she had lost all control of her body.
In the distant, she could hear warning bells and the logical part of her brain screaming danger.
