The moment Elizabeth woke up, she wished she hadn't. Her muscles were aching, her neck was on fire and she had a massive headache. As she slowly raised a hand to her neck, she came in contact with a thick bandage covering a part of her neck.
The sudden image of what happened earlier came to her mind and a sob broke out of her.

I have to get out of here!
Oh mon seigneur! Aide moi!
(Oh God! Help me)

Vampires do not exist! That's a fact! Vampires or werewolves or witches or any other mythical creatures!
That's just a part of human imagination.

But....but what she had seen, Vincent, he was real. He had bitten her for God's sake!

Rising from the bed, Eli had a little difficulty balancing herself as she still felt a bit dizzy.
Dizzy
Shit!

Her sickness! She had been diagnosed with cancer!
Her medicines! She lost them all. What would she do now?!

Her thought was suddenly broken by the creaking of the door.

"Oh Good! You're awake!"

It was Lisa, the only person she had seen apart from Vincent for so long.

"Let me take a look at your neck.
Sit down."

Sitting on the edge of the bed, Eli stayed silent and let her remove the bandage without wincing too much.
It was just a small wound. Some people have it worse.

"It's nearly healed. Just a couple more days"
This statement confused her.

"Healed? Already? When...when did he...when did fell unconscious?"

"Oh dear" Lisa sighed.
"You have it harsh. You have much to learn."

-------------------------------------

By the time Lisa had finished her explanation, Eli's head felt like it was going to explode, but everything was clearer about this mystery now.

So, apparently vampires do exist, but they stay out of sight and normally live alone. There are only a few of them around the world, no surprise otherwise half of the human population would be suffering from anemia or be dead or a slave.
Lisa didn't mention much about other supernatural beings but she did say there was quite a few kinds, including werewolves, witches, fairies and a few others.
To say Elizabeth was shocked would be an understatement.
But there was more!

Lord Vincent, as he was called, was the leader Vampire of Europe. He was like the chief in command. Even though Eli was shocked when she learnt that he was the leader of the whole continent, she was quickly reassured that there were only few dozens in each continent so as to control the balance of the Earth.

Soon enough, Lisa was reciting all the important information and rules she should know.
Most of the things were easy to remember but most of them gave her shivers of both disgust and fear.

Vampires are normally cold creatures but she shouldn't feel surprised if Vincent is warm to the touch. This would mean he has recently fed....on blood. The less warm he is the the longer it has been since he fed.

"Since you are his personal slave now, it would be up to you to make sure he is fed and take care of his every need"

Elizabeth had threw a tantrum on hearing this. She had wanted to run away but the locked door made her start to cry hysterically. She was hopeless. But once Lisa informed her that the better she would behave, the better she would be treated. She had told her that Master Vincent might even give her a treat.
