"What do you want from me?!?"

"Me, being the head of this house, I expect respect from you." He said strenly.

"And tell me D'Shawn, how have I shown you disrespect?"

"Coming up in my house, which I'm paying, anytime you want; that damn attitude, and what I hate the most you not answering my FUCKING calls or texts. DO YOU KNOW HOW MUCH I HATE when you purposely do that? We wasn't like this, Imani." 

"First of all, I'm helping you pay this house, I don't text while I drive and no we wasn't like this. You know what I'm not up for discussion right now. I'm going for a drive to clear my mind." I said while taking my phone and keys.

D'Shawn grabbed my wrist, stopping me from opening the door.

"What? Do I need permission to drive around Sacramento, CA now?"

"Every time I try to solve this problem, which literally came out of no where, in our marriage; you're never up for discussion...which in fact we need right now."

"Let me go." I said, trying to liberate myself from his tight grip but I didn't succeed.

"Relax." He released me and I left.

I headed to Christina's. This girl been my best friend since daycare. I got there and knocked she opened the door and I entered the spacious condo.

"What's up Chris?"

"I should be asking you that, you're my house at 10 p.m. . What's up with you?" She said while going into the kitchen.

"D'Shawn again."

"Are you sure it isn't you this time?"

"It's just this married life thing."

"Wait, lets have a sip of wine to that." She hand me a wine glass then poured some in for me. "Ok, now continue what's wrong with a married life?"

"It's just not something you should rush into."

"Man it's just not something you rush into." I said to close friend, Malik.

"Look D'Shawn, I have to tell you how it is. You put yourself in marriage and there's no one to help you out dawg. Getting a divorce is against your religion."

"I don't want a divorce because I love her." I said sincerely.

"Then the parts of your marriage that are broken fix them." He said.

"Malik, I've tried everything to sit her down and solve this problem but every time I start; she either leaves or just ignore me, dawg. You've known me for so long to know how I get went females ignore me, Malik."

"Just stop caring, she'll come around because they always do."

"True, true alright I'll call you back and tell how things went down."

"Alright." Malik hung up.
