"Jess! What color!?" Samantha called out from halfway across the salon.

I rolled my eyes and a bit embarrassed at her need for yelling.

Everyone in the room looked at me and I decided to quickly respond.

"Red!" I said not to loud.

She looked down at the colors and just nodded in agreement.

I let out a sigh of relief and went back to paying attention who knows what.

Usually when I get my nails done there's nothing I can really do... My hands are ring handlers by this lady and so I don't have any other choices but stare off at random places or things.

"When's the wedding?" The lady doing my nails asked.

"Excuse me?" I said not clearly hearing her.

"When's the wedding?" She repeated looking up.

"Oh! It's tomorrow." I said with a smile.
"Wait.. How'd you know I was getting married?"

"Your ring and also the design your getting for your nails." She responded with a smile.

Well that was an obvious answer.

I let a little laugh.

"Yea. It's going to be amazing." I said looking all lovey dovey.

"I'm sure this man is someone special?" She said more like a question.

"He sure is." I said and that was the end of conversation.

I sat there waiting for my nails to be done for another 10 minutes before I was able to leave.

"Thank you." I said as I payed.

I was about to leave when I remember I came with Samantha.

I found her getting a pedicure and talking off the lady next to her ears off. The lady was obviously not interested.

"Samantha.. The lady isn't interested in hearing what you have to say." I said to her when she noticed me.

She soon stopped talking and well.. Decided to talk to me about whatever it was.

"Alright miss. You're done." The lady doing her nails said.

Samantha smiled and stood up slipping on her flip-flops. She walked to the front and payed.

"Thank you." I said once again as we walked out the door.

"That was fun. Now, for hair?" Samantha squealed.

"Hair for me. You are going to sit still as I get my hair done." I said as we got into the car.

"But I was hoping to get my highlights done today!" She argued.

"Well, get them another day." I stated as I backed up and drove away.

The hair salon wasn't that far and we were there within 10 minutes.

I walked in with a moping Samantha behind me.

"Hi. Appointment for Harrison." I said to a lady behind the desk.

She pushed her glasses up and nodded walking out of the booth and escorting me to a chair.

Soon my stylist came and introduced herself.

"Hi. My names Linda. And how will we be styling your hair today?" She asked.

"Just a little cut and highlights." I said.

She nodded and got work.

Luckily this time I was able to read a magazine while she got to work so I wasn't bored out of my mind. But as I turned to see how Samantha was doing I saw she was struggling with having to sit still.

I swear.. She does not act like her age. She's 24 but yet she acts like a 5 year old.

She impatiently tapped her leg against the floor and fidgeting with her hands once in awhile in her lap.

"Hey! Sam! Take a seat next to me." I said calling her over.

I looked up at my stylist just to make sure it was ok and she nodded continuing with her work.

"Oh thank god. It was boring just sitting there by myself. And the next to me reeked! Even though he's kinda cute he smells." Samantha complained.

I just giggled and rolled my eyes.

"Hey! It's the truth!" She said sinking down into the chair.

"Anyway. How's Mike been with the wedding and all?" She asked examining her newly done nails.

"He's been good. I guess. I don't allow him to touch anything so... It works out well." I said giggling towards the end. Samantha laughed and nodded in understanding.

"When I get married I'd do the same thing." Samantha said sitting up in her seating.

"Exactly." I said and heard my stylist let out a giggle.

"Alright. You're.. Done." My stylist said pulling away the cloak thingy.

She turned my chair around so I could see how I looked and I absolutely loved it.

"Thank you!" I exclaimed with a smile.

"No problem. Just head to the front to pay and you're ready to go." She said cleaning up her stuff.

I stepped off the seat and headed to the front counter.

"That will be $48.50." The lady said in a bored tone.

I handed her a $50 and she handed me my change.

I placed it into my purse and walked out making sure Samantha was behind me.

"Can we get McDonalds? I'm hungry." She whined once again.

"Fine. But you're paying." I said.
