Eli got to school after a long ride on the bus. He headed to his home room and sat down in his assigned seat. He took out his math assignment and scribbled frantically rushing to finish it, hoping it had easy problems on it. "Hey Eli!" It was a girl named Leah that Eli had crushed on since the first year of middle school. Although now she just seemed a bit annoying always saying hi to him... Eli liked to keep mostly to himself. "Hi..." Eli responded back, lacking energy so she could take a hint he didn't want to talk right now. His mind was shaky along with his vision when he stood up. Stop thinking about the nightmare Eli kept repeating to himself. But no matter what he did to try and stop it, the images were still clear. Eli doodled on the corners of his math assignment to distract himself from the thoughts, but ended up sketching out the tall dark figure he saw. How could he forget something so terrifying?

Dark spindling hands reaching out for Eli whispering in a complicated language, ready to gouge his eyes out...*gasp* Eli jumped in his seat flinching backwards in attempt to escape the wire-like fingers from reaching him. "Eli, please sit back down and try to pay attention," his science teacher scolded. "And try not to fall asleep while you're at it." All the students chuckled at the teachers comment. Eli hated the attention drawn to him as he blushed from embarrassment. He didn't remember walking to science class...did he sleep walk here? No, maybe he just forgot, like he always does with his homework once he gets home.

School was soon over and Eli decided to walk home to clear his head. As he walked down the sidewalk he smiled at the sight of little children jumping in giant leaf piles filled with variety of colors. About half way he put in earbuds and turned on some music. It kept pausing because of the bad signal. Great. Eli walked a bit faster to get home and connect to the wifi. He wished he could hang out with some friends, if he had any. People at school would always think he was a creep, or an emo because he would sit in the corner keeping to himself. Having nothing but black clothing in his closet didn't help either... Eli walked close along the start of the grass. He looked up at the sky and crashed into something and fell. He put his hands out to shield him from slamming his face into the cement, but instead...fell through? Next thing Eli knew was that the hands he put out to protect himself, were in the same position but he was sitting up in his bed. He pats his body to make sure it's real. The room seemed flipped and there was knocking on the door, the handle violently shaking. Sweat droplets fall from Eli's face as he reaches out. Contemplating wether he should open it, he did quickly and nothing appeared. Eli goes back into his bed and flips around, attempting to fall back asleep.

The door creaks open as his eyes are droopy. Scrape, scrape, scrape, as the long toenails of a Long dark figure treads closer. Eli flipped around and the monster raises his hand and slashes Eli's arm he had shielded himself with.

Eli violently jumps awake and realizes it's morning. But, he was just walking...down the sidewalk. And fell through? Eli put both his hands on his face in frustration. Where was he? How old again? Is this even his house? Which street? Address? What's the colors of his eyes? Eli looks down to see his long sleeved grey pajama shirt stained in red liquid. He rolls down the sleeve and finds a brand new deep wound right on his forearm. Right where the tall shadow had slashed him.
