8:One Year Later

Katelyn's pov
Tina just turned two and our new baby boy, Kevin turned one.

"Mommy,when is Kevin's birthday?" Tina asked. "Kevin's birthday is on my birthday, remember he was my birthday surprise. Sweetie what is wrong?" "Umm...it's just that when Kevin was born you guys haven't really payed attention to me." Tina sounded really sad so I gave her a big squeeze. "Honey,we always have time for you. We didn't notice that you felt down about it though." I gave her another big hug and sent her off to bed. I put Kevin to sleep and I had a surprise for Tina in the morning. "Travis I love you." "I love you too." Travis said sounding sleepy. "Umm...Travis?"I said sounding concerned. Then he sat up and looked out the window. "You scared me. I thought someone was here! But,what do you want?" Then he sighed. "Ever since Kevin came into the family...well...Tina has felt left out and said that we haven't paid attention enough to her." I said with tears in my eyes. "Hey don't cry. It'll be alright." Travis said with a soft voice as he picked up my head and kissed me on the cheek.
Tina's pov
"Good night mom." I said yawning and falling asleep. Then I woke up cause I heard daddy yell "You scared me." I didn't hear the rest though so I walked to mom and dad's door and heared them talking. "Ever since Kevin was born Tina has been...well...feeling left out." I could hear mommy tearing up. "Hey don't cry. It'll be alright." Daddy sounded worried. "I just want my babies to be happy." Then I could hear her crying. I walked in. "Mommy ca- are you okay?" I asked sounding sad. "I'm fine baby, what did you want?" "Can I sleep with you guys?" I asked "Yeah, of course." And it was the best night with mommy and daddy.
