Review: I'm trying to think of what I could possibly say about this book that I didn't say about the previous book. These two books are my favorite thing that I have ever read on this whole website and I am so excited about the upcoming third one!
As I mentioned in the previous chapter, the first book delves heavily into the female character while this book works hard to break down Harry as a character...and it's glorious. The author is not afraid to go to some incredibly dark places regarding his mental state. The unique thing about this particular story is that it manages to delve deep into the darkness of mental illness without actively turning Harry into a villain or antagonist. There are far too many stories, not only on this site but on every fanfiction site that exists, mental illness is usually reserved for incredibly dark characters and it's always disturbingly portrayed is a way that is supposed to be sexy and appealing. Even when the relationships and characters are incredibly abusive and scary. It's incredibly refreshing to read a story that seeks to educate about mental illness and explore the idea that mental illness, while incredibly normal and a part of everyday life for many people around the world, can become harmful and a much bigger problem if not treated properly not only for the person experiencing it but for those around them.
I recommend these two books 100% and they are really the only reason I'm still in this website.
