Okay so rich and Jeremy x reader are in the same timeline. That's why Michael is introduced in that friendly manner from Jeremy. So Jake x reader and Michael will be in a different timeline from Jeremy and rich. But they will be in the same of each other. This is just to add conflict to the story. I don't like writing stories with litterally nothing to write off of besides romance. To me that's boring and I just don't feel like I'm in my best writing mind when I do that. Which is why there isn't too much fluff yet.
