Jonathan opened his eyes. He was laying in a white void, there was nothing around him, but the ground felt soft and light. He stood up, and heard a very faint melodic voice. "Welcome to heaven, Jonathan" Jonathan's heart skipped a beat. "I'm in heaven? that doesn't make sense" A woman appeared in front of him, hovering. Wings like an angel's and flowing white hair. She looked youthful and had a calming smile.
The woman took Jonathan's hand and hovered upwards, taking Jonathan with her. They were flying towards something bright. Jonathan squinted as they came closer. It was a gate, and it opened as they approached. After they went past the gate, Jonathan could see what heaven looked like. There was beautiful green grass and trees everywhere he looked, The paths were golden and all the other people there were flying and laughing together. Some were on the ground enjoying the wildlife. There were angels all around, watching over everyone.
Jonathan looked at the woman who was holding his hand "who are you?" She smiled and Spoke "I'm Providence." Jonathan was still trying to process everything that was happening. "What happened to sock?" Providence looked confused "I'm afraid i don't know who you're talking about." Jonathan let go of her hand and hovered down to the ground. He wanted to cry, but couldn't. Heaven was a place of no tears and no pain, but he felt hurt deep down.
Meanwhile, on earth, Sock was still grieving over Jonathan's death. He knew that he could never see him again. It was known that an angel couldn't speak with a demon, let alone love one, but their relationship never ended. Mephistopheles had assigned sock to a boy named Marcus, around Sock's age. He was already depressed but was just afraid to actually commit suicide, so this would be easy. Sock stood outside Marcus' house, but couldn't bring himself to go inside. He felt a tap on his shoulder. It was Mephistopheles. "You okay, kid?" Sock shook his head. "I know this is a difficult time for you, but you still need to do your job."
Sock turned and faced Mephistopheles "I cant do it... You can fire me and let me burn for eternity but even that will be less painful than this is! im suffering enough already... the one person who understood me and cared about me is gone... " Mephistopheles knew how much Jonathan meant to sock, and deep down he didn't want to let Sock burn for eternity. He wanted to give sock something that he had never given anyone. Mephistopheles took Sock to his office and they sat down.
"You're a special kid, Sowachowski. The only way for you to ever be able to see Jonathan again is to... give you your life back." Sock was so surprised, there was no way that Mephistopheles was going to actually give him this. "What?" Mephistopheles didn't say anything and handed Sock a dark red paper, with a line at the bottom. "Sign here." Sock wrote his signature, and his vision went dark.

Sock woke up suddenly under the night sky, he inhaled sharply and felt his body become warmer by the second, his heart started beating, and his physical senses were back. He felt nauseous. He sat up and felt a pain in his chest. He lifted his shirt and saw that the place where he was stabbed was now just a scar. He stood up and saw where he was. He was next to his parent's graves. He looked down and noticed his knife, still stained with dry blood. He kicked the knife into his open grave, and sat by the tree, watching the moonlight glisten over a nearby river.
In heaven, Jonathan was brought to Providence's office. Providence sat down and explained to Jonathan that as a job, every new angel will be assigned to a person to guide them and keep them safe. She handed Jonathan a file. He opened it and saw the name of the person. "Napoleon Maxwell Sowachowski" Jonathan went silent. "i-uh.. h- is this is the right person?" Jonathan stuttered. Providence looked at him. "Of course it is, but if you feel like being a guardian angel is too much for you then you don't have to start right away, you ca-" Jonathan interrupted "I want to start now" Providence looked confused, but agreed anyway. She teleported Jonathan a short distance from where Sock was. It was still night, but Jonathan didn't care.
Jonathan was just a few yards away from the hill when he finally saw Sock on the other side of the tree. Sock turned around and saw Jonathan floating in mid air with the most beautiful pair of wings. He covered his mouth and just stared up at him. Jonathan flew down to Sock and hugged him. They both sunk to the ground holding eachother, tears of joy falling from both of their cheeks.
They finally looked in eachothers eyes, Jonathan dried the tears from Sock's face. Sock finally spoke "How is this happening?" Jonathan chuckled. "I'm your guardian Angel now." Sock squealed and showed the biggest smile. They kissed. They were finally reunited. Neither of them ever wanted to be separated ever again. They loved one another more than they loved themselves.
"Don't you ever leave me again!"
"I won't, i promise."(Hi! Sorry the chapter went by really fast, it was hard to think of an ending that actually made sense. There will be more chapters very soon about their life together.)
