Harry opened his eyes. He was still in the kitchen, but there was no sign of his loving family.
He tried to get up, cringing at the sharp pains going through him. He was used to it. He'd has worse.
He dragged himself upstairs and into his room just as Hedwig swooped back through the open window with a letter held in her beak. Ron.
Harry sighed in relief as he read the letter, even that put him in pain. But he was focused on the fact that he was actually getting out if this hell early.
Then a thought struck him... how was he going to get to the burrow.
Then he remembered his broom. How stupid he was to forget one of the things he uses the most; whilst at hogwarts that it. Not here. Not with them here.
He shuddered at the thought of what Vernon would do to him if he knew he was sending letter to his friends. Hedwig wasnt even meant to be out of her cage. The good thing was she now seemed to understand that she needed to be quiet whilst here. Plus she didnt really complain as much about being shut in, knowing it was for the best if she didnt want herself or even Harry to get in trouble.
Harry packed his case ready. He made sure his broom was in a place he could get to quietly and it was hidden, just incase one of the Dursley's decided to visit his room. His case was under the bed. It wasnt full, obviously. Harry hardly had anything. Most of the leftover space would be filled with stuff that he needed for that year anyway when he went to Diagon Alley.
He looked over at the clock, realising he had taken quite a while longer than usual to pack, considering the amount of pain he was in.
It was 8pm. He would wait until it was dark out. Then he would go. It would be easier to get out.
The Dursley's would have to make their own breakfast tomorrow. He definitely wouldnt be doing it.
He didnt think about the consequences of this. He didnt think about the punishment he would get when he came back next summer. He just wanted to be out now.---------------------------
Draco woke up back in his room. Narcissa must have brought him up. Lucius wouldnt have done it. Lucius wouldnt care if he was left on the cold tiled floor. Lucius wouldnt really care if he was dead. Lucius hated him.
He never understood why his father hated him so much. What did he ever do wrong?
He wished he was Harry at that moment. He may not have his real parents but he had his loving aunt, uncle and cousin who looked after him. They took him in. They love him.
And he has the Weasley's. A whole family of people who are always there for you and who love you as if you were one of them.
I know what your thinking. Draco Malfoy, saying the Weasley's are good people.
He never really hated them. He had to pretend he did, otherwise his father would... do something.
Bill was in Egypt. Charlie was working with dragons. Fred and George are the prank masters. Ron is better then people sometimes see him. Ginny is a bright witch, quite intelligent.
He hadnt forgot Perch, no. But they didnt like him being called on of them anymore.
You may be wondering how he knew about all of this. He may or may not have listened into some conversations sometimes between the Golden Trio. He wasnt really following them to find out plans. It was really just to watch Harry. That sounds creepy.
But he liked to watch Harry. The way he sometimes absentmindedly licked his lips repeatedly. How his hair was all messed up but still seemed to be perfect. And his laugh, oh how Draco loved that sound. It was like it carries all his troubles away.He didnt know what he was going to do for the rest of the summer, but he was going to do his best to steer clear of his father, thats for sure.
