It had been almost two years since the A Team was formed. BA was still scared of flying after Murdock's helicopter stunts. Face cheated at every card game the team played. Murdock cooked meals when the team had down time. Hannibal continuously checked up on the team when they weren't on missions. Batty spent most of the time with Face and Murdock.

It was around one in the afternoon on a day when the team was on leave. They had all decided to meet up at Batty's house for lunch, considering she had the largest back yard. She lived in the suburbs of LA unlike the rest of the team, whom all lived in apartments. The only reason she could afford to live in an actual house was because her momma lived with her.

"Ashley! When are your friends going to be here?" Momma asked from the dining room. Batty was in the backyard working on the grill.

"Around one thirty Momma. HM is supposed to show up early to help me cook though," Batty mused. She turned back to the grill to flip the steaks and potatoes. Murdock walked around the house while Batty was humming to a song playing on the radio.

"Baby lock the doors and turn the lights down low," Murdock started singing as he wandered over to the patio. Batty grinned and spun around to catch Murdock in a hug.

"HM! It's been so long!" Batty complained loudly about not seeing her best friend. Murdock chuckled while hugging the woman back.

"I know right, three whole days! Billy was starting to worry," Murdock said after he let her go. They both moved to the grill to finish cooking the food.

"How is Billy, James?" Momma asked. She was poking her head threw the open glass door. Murdock looked at the older woman over his shoulder.

"He's doing great! Didnt really like the car ride over here though," Murdock answered. Momma shook her head with a smile and pulled herself back into the house. She was making salad for the team in the dining room.

For the next ten minutes Batty and Murdock worked together without trouble while singing to the radio, which was playing country music. After Batty plated the steaks a loud knocking on the side of the house was heard. The pair looked to see who was knocking, and Face smiled at them. His blonde hair was ruffled from the wind and his bright blue eyes were hidden behind sunglasses. He walked over to the duo and sat down in a chair.

"Your hair is a mess Templeton!" Momma exclaimed as she came out of the house with a salad. Face's head snapped up to look at Momma with a sheepish grin.

"Sorry Ms. Trix. I had the top off the Vette," Face explained. Momma snorted and moved to fix his hair. She treated all of the team as her own children, even Hannibal. Face scrambled out of the chair to avoid getting his hair fixed.

"Templeton Peck! You're acting like a child. Let me fix your hair," Momma scolded. Face pouted and slumped down in his seat as Momma fixed his hair. Murdock and Batty were almost rolling on the ground in their laughter.

"Ashley, James. Do you want grounded?" Murdock and Batty froze in the middle of another bout of laughing to gaze up with wide eyes. They shook their heads in unison against the thought of grounding. "Then pick up your acts. I'm still your mother," Momma said.

Batty nodded quickly and stood up to finish laying out the table. Murdock grinned brightly from his spot on the grass. He fell back while trying to contain his laughing. Momma put her hands on her hips and stared down at the man rolling on the ground laughing.

"That's it. James Allen Murdock! If you do not pick yourself up right this instant you're grounded," Momma threatened. Murdock slowly stopped laughing as the threat processed. He blinked up at the woman slowly.

"But-"

"No buts Mister. Up you get and you're grounded," Momma ordered. Murdock pouted as he stood up and brushed off the grass on his clothes. Momma smoothed out his hair with a gentle hand.

"Momma, leave HM alone. He hasn't done anything," Batty said, coming to Murdock's rescue. Face was trying to contain his chuckling at the wild scene.

"Ashley..." Momma warned. Batty shut her mouth with a snap and flopped down in a chair. Murdock was soon to follow her lead.

"Huh, you got the fool to shut up," BA commented as he walked into the backyard. Everyone looked over at him with smiles.

"Bosco, so glad to see you. It's a good thing you didn't show up with a messy appearance," Momma said. Face groaned and put his head in his hands. Murdock reached over the table to pat his shoulder.

"At least you didn't get grounded Facey," Murdock sighed. BA burst into giggles with Batty. He took a seat right next to the sniper, and across from Murdock. Momma shook her head at them and sat down at the head of the glass table.

"How come I'm the only one who got grounded?" Murdock complained.

"Because you didn't calmed down when you were asked," Momma explained. The rest of the table grinned at each other while Hannibal walked into the conversation.

"Ms. Trix, team. Glad to see you all here." Everyone turned to where the new voice had come from. Hannibal was leaning against the side of the white house with a cigar in his mouth.

"Hannibal you now my rule about smoking," Momma scolded. Hannibal chuckled and put out his half cigar. He put the rest in a pocket while moving to sit between Murdock and Face.

"Sorry, just forgot." Momma snorted with a good natured glare.

"Okay well I'm starving," Batty interrupted and started grabbing food. Everyone else joined in and for the rest of the afternoon the team played cards while chatting.
