Forest of Death

Alone in such a place actually scares me to death. I don't like being by myself. Even just the presence of someone is good enough for me wether I hate that person or not.

It's been more than an hour passed according to my watch and no matter how farI walked, no one seems to be around. No noise, no hint of light. Hasa everyone gone back? Wait is there a time limit for this?

Just as I was lost in my thought, I spotted a giant bear from the distance so I attempted to hide behind a tree but just as typical as it sounds, I can't believe I stepped on a cracked leaf. At first, I have thought it was a normal dangerous bear but it was more than that. When it faced me, it had red eyes and large fangs that could easily penetrate my skin.

I began running for my life.Running as fast as I could but my legs didn't ;ast forlong and slowly, I was beginning to get tired. I was desperate to escape from the bear's view so I took a deep breath and climbed the tree before the bear could eat me. My body ache while I was climbing but I held the pain and soon arrived at a strong branch that I was able to sit down. I think if I were to continue climbing up, it would take me another thirty minutes before I get to the very top. That's how tall the tree's were.

From below, the bear attempted on climbing up but miserably failed, It was frightening how it never left me, guarding me like a prisoner, not allowing me to bail out.

I took a quick nap on the branch and by the time I woke up, the bear was still there, wanting to desperately eat me. I have lost track of how long I have been sitting out here for but I know it's been A LONG time.

Suddenly, I felt a breeze hit my face which felt calming. Where did the breeze come from? As I grew bored, I decided to sing,

"Every day I smile, I cry, I laugh. These feelings I have, I wish I could show it all to you"

"On a snowy night, relfecting moon. I cry all alone, in the darkness I hide"

"I smile all alone in the light that I follow. I need to be strong"

As I sang the song, a short memory replayed in my head. There was a guy who had black hair and he was smiling swetly at me but his face was blurry. A small fog covered half of it's face as if it was preventing me to find out who that person was.

When I came to my sense, I look down and the bear was sitting down obediently, staring at me with puppy eyes, "I can't take this anymore, if that bear kills me then I guess this place will become my grave" I told myself, deciding to climb down. However, as I was climbing down, I accidently stepped on the wrong branch and fell. I prepared myself and closed my eyes for the impact , 'What a bad ending, Getting killed by that bear would have been better than slipping' I thought to myself but rather than hitting something painful, I felt something soft.

I opened my eyes to look at what has happened. Maybe I was already sent to heaven? But no, the bear was carrying me on it's back, "Thank you Bear!" I yelled, hugging the animal. I got off his back and leveled my face with him or her, "Mr. Bear can you stay with me?" I ask, fully aware that a bear cannot speak so I took his silent answer as a yes.

Bear and I started walking for hours and we still have not encountered anyone, "Let's take a break here" I said because walking seemed rather pointless. As we sat down, Mr. Bear started dissapearing, "Bear what's going on?!" I panicked. But soon, he faded into thin air while I was left alone once again.

"Thank you" I whispered, wishing the bear to have a good life in his or er next life. Just as I was bidding my farewell, two white guns appeared from where he disapeared. White guns that seemed like a snow with a diamond print on the handle and the shooting part just like my necklace. The shape of my necklace and the shape of the print on the gun were almost identical.

I took a deep breath and thought my situation throughly, "Alright lets walk North" I said to myself, considering that's where the breeze came from earlier. When I saw a lake, I also saw a tiny creature with tails and horns. I think this is the Lacroma that the lady was talking about earlier.

Once the creature spotted my presence, it ran to my direction, waving it's small spear like a maniac. Once it was close enough to me, it began saying someweird language that I found creepy and suddenly, the spear turned frozen as it was thrown at me like a mad men. However, I was lucky enough to dodge it's attack.

I look to the back where the spear had landed at and when I saw the tree completely banished, I shivered in fear. Such a small creature can frighteningly destroy something completely. When my atention was focused back to the minion, he was preparing himself to throw another one of his spear, "Wait wait!" I yelled but that creatue did not wait.

"Fine. If this is how it's going to work in this world then I guess I have no choice" I said.

The little creature and I shot at the same time while I recieved a cut from my arm as I barely managed to dodge his attack. To my surprise, rather than a bullet come out from my gun, a blast came out, blowing everything away at what I aimed at inlcuding the little creature.

The fact that I just killed a minion shocked me. I didn't mean to kill it horribly like that, I just wanted to teach it a lesson.

No no, I should be glad that I'm alive or else that creature would have killed me.

I wasn't paying attention to my surroundings but after a while, I was out of the forest and I saw other people standing and waiting with different kinds of weapon in their hand.

The uniforms that the students wore were similar to mine. It was either ripped or dirty from a fight and some girls complained about how dirty they were. As for me, I cut the bottom of my uniform and tied it to my thighs just like a thigh holster and place my gun there. Come to think of it, what happened to my glasses?

"Oh no" I panicked looking around on the floor to see if it had fell but to my luck, when I touch the back of my hair, it was just hanging low.

"How was it ya'll?" Says a guy with a green hair and bright smile. Just like usual, everyone became chatty and ignored the new instructor in front of us, "Now now everyone. If you continue to chatter, I might burn you to death" the man smiles evilly which everyone noticed and fell silent. What a fearsome teacher.

"Aren't you all glad that you got yourself a weapon and didn't die? Well you'd be stupid if you die to this forest. But anyways, now that task is done, let's head back to your new Academy! You see that town over there? The first student to arrive there will recieve a big big meal so do your best. I'll be waiting at the entrance gate" explains the teacher while he disapears just like the rest of the instructors.

Since when was there a town over there? I never noticed that.
