The Misfits Of High School

Nicky, Freddie, Destiny, Jay, Jenna and Romeo

A groan slipped from Romeo's mouth as his alarm blared at him to wake up. He threw his beloved Star Wars pillow at his beaten up Doctor Who alarm and sat up. "Stupid alarm and stupid school." He sighed and rolled off his hammock, hitting the floor with a load thud. Groaning again, he stood up and slowly walked over to his drawers. "Romeo!! Remember to feed Milly and Bobby!" He heard his Mum shout from downstairs. "Got it!" Romeo replied with as he grabbed his school shirt from the drawers. Not taking long to change, Romeo made sure to put on his black , skinny jeans instead of his boring, grey school trousers. He put his black converses on and a hoodie underneath his blazer. Not bothering to brush his long blonde hair, Romeo took his time to get down the stairs. He walked into his kitchen and grabbed a mars bar. "Oh hey Romeo" He turned his head to look at the source of the voice. "Hey Thomas" Romeo's brother, Thomas, had already left school last year. Romeo, at the age of 16,  was now in his last year of High School. "I've already fed the dogs by the way." Romeo took a bite out of his bar. "Thanks man. Want a mars bars?" Thomas shook his head. "You're already late. Go to school." Romeo shrugged. "Oh well. I'll see ya later." He walked to the front door, quickly grabbing his Big Bang Theory messenger bag and anime covered skateboard. "Bye Mum! Bye Dad!" Romeo quickly called out before opening the front door. Stepping out, he got out his gum and started chewing on a piece. "Time for school." Romeo sighed out.

"Captain Jack Sparrow is hot." Nicky said as she walked into her tutor room with Freddie. "Spider Man is hotter though." Freddie pointed out her opinion as they joined their other friends on a table. "No Jack Sparrow is definitely hotter." The bell had rang, stopping the conversation. "Oh shoot. Looks like I gotta go to my tutor. See ya Nicky." Freddie stood up and jogged out, not liking being late. "Johnny Guilbert is way more hotter than Jack Sparrow." Destiny joined in. Nicky shook her head and pulled down her jumpers hood. She took a look at everyone. Jay, Jenna and Freddie were in a different tutor. Romeo was usually late but he was in this tutor too. Destiny sat next to Nicky. On Nicky's right were three other friends called Cameron, Tilly and Arthur. On her left was another friend named Stephanie. Romeo usually sits next to her. "You're both wrong. Gerard Way and Frank Iero are a lot hotter." Tilly stated causing Nicky to laugh softly. "As much as they both are hot, Jack Sparrow is still hotter." Destiny gently hit Nicky's arm. "You know you're wrong. Johnny Guilbert's just too hot for you." Tilly rolled her eyes, but with a smile on her face. "But Johnny Depp plays Jack Sparrow. Johnny Depp is the definition of hot." Nicky said in a matter of fact voice. "Why have a Johnny when you have a Romeo?" Everyone's heads turned to look at the oh-so-familiar voice. "I see you're late again Romeo." Arthur said. "As always Arthur." Romeo sat next to Stephanie. "You alright?" Everyone nodded or mumbled a yes. "What've we got first? I lost my timetable." Cameron laughed. "Of course you have. We have Science first." He said, groaning when he saw he had Mr.Cooper. "And we have Mr.Terry, Romeo." Nicky said to her unorganised friend. "Oh! Good!" Romeo liked Mr.Terry because of how great at Science he was, but everyone knew he thought he was hot. Romeo was openly gay and never got any shit for it luckily. Surprisingly, no-one was really bothered about homosexuality in their school. "Mr.Scott." Romeo and his friends were too busy to hear their form teachers voice. "Romeo Scott!" Romeo looked up. "Yeah?" The whole table was curious and looked up to see what was going on. "You have a detention for being late. Another detention. Maybe this time you should go unlike the others. You'll have a detention with the headteacher if you don't go." Romeo laughed and waved his hand, dismissing the information he was just told. "Nah it wont. The school doesn't give a shit about whether I go or not." The rest of form soon passed and it was time for year 11 to go to Science for first period.

"Which Spider Man is your favourite?" Freddie had asked Jay as they walked to Science. "Um...probably Andrew Garfield." Romeo and Nicky had passed them as they were talking. "That's where you're wrong my friend. Tom Holland is the best." Romeo said, quickly rushing to Science. "Hey Romeo! Slow down!" Nicky had exclaimed as she ran after him. "No running in the halls!" Mr.Cooper shouted. "He sure does like his Science." Freddie stated. "No he likes the teacher." Jenna laughed. "Anyway. Tom Holland is better. No denying it." Freddie said but Jenna quickly butted in. "I haven't seen Homecoming yet. So I wouldn't know." Freddie shrugged. "Fair point." Jay soon caught up with the two. "Hey guys! Talking about Spider man again?" Freddie nodded. "Our conversation topics are always controversial and sometimes contradicting." Jay raised an eyebrow and nodded slowly. "You guys are definitely the misfits." Shrugging, Jenna replied. "My memes get me through it." Jay chuckled. "Sure. Anyway we need to hurry or we'll be late." A look of panic crossed Freddie's mind. "Fuck!"

Luckily for Freddie she wasn't late. Romeo was leaning on his desk with his chin resting on the palm of his hand. "Romeo. What did I say about the shoes, jeans and hoodie." Romeo chuckled. "Sorry sir. Cant help but go against the rules. Uniforms suck anyway." Mr.Terry didn't disagree and he sat by his desk, which happened to be right by Romeo's seat. "I must say I can't disagree but I'm a teacher and I have to go by the rules. I don't want to be fired." Romeo looked down at his jeans and shoes. "I don't want you to be fired either and my jeans are nice so I'd rather keep them on." Mr.Terry chuckled and shook his head. "Looks like I have a fan." Romeo shrugged and smiled. Freddie and Nicky sat behind Romeo and they were listening in. "If Mr. Terry wasn't our teacher Romeo so would have dated him by now." Freddie said. Nicky laughed. "He would have done more than that."
