The originals  where once Again chased out  from France by Mikael leaving behind their sires,  lovers and home , some heartbroken (Niklaus been left by Aurora) ,some Indignant from the constant running, some leaving heartbroken souls behind in the name of family (Elijah).
On there way to there knew mansion, they were passing through woods  in their courage  " where is this mansion Elijah ,i can't take anymore sitting in this courage " Kol whined  , disturbing his brothers reading "soon brother , behave yourself "  Elijah  respond without taking his eyes from the book "Soon Is all you say brother ,but there been hour since-" Kol's whining was interrupted by a child's screams and cries off horror , Niklaus frozen as he felled like he was been stabbed in the heart " Stop , stop the courage NOW" he shout as he jumped down from the courage and run towards the screaming child like his life depended on it " Niklaus! " his siblings shout running after him . The cries were getting  closer and closer until they got across a women chanting in latin  hovering above the girl with a knife , "maaamyyyyyyyy , noooooo" The girl scream again and  the moment the woman brought the knife an inch above the child's heart  she was held by the neck on  a tree in a heartbeat by Niklaus , her feet weren't touching the grown , Elijah and Rebekah ran to aid the little girl , But Niklaus was lost in anger  and rage his hybrid face was out in the open his fangs threatening the women , he didn't speak at all just growling at her like a wolf would to an enemy , the girl was now sobbing in Elijah's arms as she  wrapped  her arm around his neck and berried her face at the crock of his neck sobbing horribly,Elijah run a southing arm up and down her back as he approached his brother " Nick ?" He got no answer but only made Niklaus growls grow louder and his grip on the women's neck tighter , the women a minute before losing consciousness chocking out the world "a..abo...abom.....inat...ion " "Niklaus look at me " but he wouldn't blink, he then noticed that the more louder the little girls sobs  were getting the louder Niklaus growls got so he stood in frond of him now taking his attention "Niklaus look at  me , brother the girl is safe and unharmed, look at her "  Niklaus face relaxed immediately so was the girls sobs almost stopped when she faced Nik , but his face hardened  again " take the girl else were , I'll come and find you when i am done with her " Elijah understood " Rebekah,Kol follow me " , at the moment when they were out of sight Niklaus let the women's neck go and before she could speak he ripped her head off her body , and then he followed the path  his siblings took whom by now had reached the courage  .
Elijah was sitting on the steps of the courage talking to the little angel " whats your name little one " he asked as he let her play with  his fingers hold them and linking them with hers or compare his much larger hand with her tiny one, she turn at him looking straight in  his eyes he felt like she was looking straight in his soul '"I'm Katerina "  Rebekah kneeled in front of Katerina taking her attention taking her tiny hands in hers " how old are you sweetheart?" She asked her  " I'm thlee(3)" she said and showed with her fingers 10 making the siblings laugh Rebekah closed her fingers leaving three up "there you go now you are three " as she touched gently the tip of Katerina nose  making the girl giggle " Klaus appeared behind his sister making her stand  giving him a view of the girl  ,Katerina wiggled out off Elijahs hands and approached Niklaus when she reached him he dropped on his knees getting in an eye level with her , they both could feel the bond Niklaus more than both since she was still young,she reached her tiny balm and touched his cheek " your eyes are blue now ,my favorite corol (she means color but she is three so i try to ,make her sound like a three year old)"  she said and hanged him , Klaus eyes closed in relief and hanged the little girl back  rightly (his brothers and sister looking at them stand "what's your name love?" He asked as he pulled away rupping her cheek with his thumb " I'm Katerina and I'm thlee " she said excitedly making Niklaus chuckle " what's your name?" She asked him smiling from ear to ear as if his laugh gave  her happiness " Im Niklaus and I'm 20" he said with the same excitement as her making her giggle " what would you say if i asked you to come and leave with me and my siblings in a glorious house and be a princess , hum sweetheart " he asked her " yeyyy I want to be a princess " she giggles jumping up  and down  and then stopped as she couldn't stop the yawn " Are you sleepy little one " Niklaus asked her  as he stood and she just nod rupping her eyes, "come on lets get you to bed" he said as he pick her up  and she immediately fall asleep in the crock off his neck filling safe in his arms .
Thoughts were running in Klaus head  question , why does he feel like that for this girl this bond he never felt before not even with his siblings, this love , is like the empty hole inside him got filled he was completed now ,why?.......
