Chapter 31 ✔

I always was a sneaky one.

When I was ten and I wasn't asleep even though it is past my bed time I used to pretend to be sleeping and I fooled my father most of the time.

So I consider myself the master of pretending.

And the Jones are definitely pretending not be in the house although they are inside and I could hear a whisper often

So here am I ringing the doorbell over and over.

"Please open" I said loudly

"I know you are inside" I said even louder

"I just want to talk to Henry" I said

Then suddenly the door opened

"We are sorry we can't let you in" Sydney said

"I won't ask why just tell me where is he" I asked

"We don't know either but we were warned by the royals not to talk to you" she said

"You shouldn't have said that" Mark said from behind the door

"She deserves to know" Simon says

"look, we are really sorry but we need you to leave and try to find Henry and bring him back and we will message the Keers and we will figure something out" Mary said

"Okay, I am sorry for getting you into such trouble with the royals" I said

"It is okay it is really our fault" Simon said

"We are the ones who started this centuries ago" Simon said

"Okay, bye" I said walking away quickly and jumping into my car and figuring what the hell I should do.

Okay so as you have probably guessed I am not that smart because I haven't even tried to call him or text him.

Told you I wasn't the smartest.

So I picked up my phone from the passenger seat and searched for his contact and called him

First ring, second ring yet no answer but then I heard his voice before the third ring.

"What, Gina" He said

"oh hi Henry, no don't worry I am ok and Jake is fine he is out of jail since dad bailed him and I went to your house looks like the royals didn't like my visit so they sent a warning about me going inside or even interacting with your family" I said

"no I don't think you took Rose but what you are doing right now you know running away and not even texting or calling me or even visiting after the fight with Jake is frustrating me" I said

"And I have been so worried but yet here you are answering the phone call with what Gina" I said while chuckling at the last part sarcastically and then took a huge breath since I was rambling non stop

"Wow" He said

A tear fell down my cheek and I looked at my foot which was on the truck's rug

"Gina, don't look down" He said

"Please look in front of you" He said

I did as told and I saw him in front of me.

He closed the phone and put it in his front pocket of his jacket.

Then he came closer to the truck and entered the passenger seat.

"Don't you dare cry" He said

"I was worried you know, you are such an ass" I said

"I know I am" He said

"I am sorry I had find out who took Rose" He said

"So I went to the forest and I smelled the blood there it was a werewolf's blood and a shapeshifter's one" He said

"I guessed the werewolf either belonged to Jake or Rose" Henry added

"I only know two shapeshifters in this town" He said

"Don't even say Charlotte, she has been missing for like a week now" I said defending my friend

"Yeah I know that" Henry said

"It's Kolas" He said

"Who is he" I asked

"Kolas Shane is The Avon's half-brother" He said

"He is the one who tried to kill you in the bus accident which Johana died in" He said

"Shit, Johana left me a box and I didn't open it yet" I said

"Is her Johana Sims and she has a daughter called Lina?" He asked

"Yes, but how did you know" I asked

"I tracked Shane for a while before the accident before even meeting you" He said

"He went to her house and from the way I saw it he was threatening to expose her so I had to put some tracks on her too" Henry added

"I sent Mark and Sydney and they found out she is a witch and her daughter was learning the craft" Henry said

"And something I just remembered that could help us" he said

"She knew a woman called Lisa Carter, Lisa was also a witch she married a human and they had a beautiful daughter called Gina" He said

And I realized I was pretty familiar with this story so I completed it

"she died while giving birth to her and then the human married a woman called Shelly two years after" She said

"Gina the daughter never knew that Johana was like her guard because Lisa told her to take care of her if she died" He said

I jumped in his lap and cried till there was no more tears in my eyes.
