The last chapter got such a great response that I decided to update twice! :)
**************
Prom:
"Are you sure you don't want to go?" Louis looks over to me from the television. We've been dating a solid three weeks now and we've been taking things slow as promised to each other.
"Yes. I'm positive in fact." I assure him for the hundredth millionth time in less than a month. He keeps asking and promising me that we'd have an amazing time, but there's no point. Prom is tomorrow.
"Okay, so what are you going to do?"
"While all of my peers are going to be experiencing one the best nights of their life, I'll be here." I reach over and grab the popcorn from his lap, it's cold now. "Refreshing popcorn for my boyfriend and friend. Asia is coming over." I leave the couch for the kitchen.
"Who said I'll be here?" He smiles.
"What are you talking about?"
"I'll be chaperoning prom with Lottie." He follows me into the kitchen. "Why do you think I've been trying to get you to go?" He raises his eyebrows.
My mouth drops open when I close the microwave door.
"Why didn't you say anything?"
"I wanted to get you to go first and that's not happening, so it doesn't matter." he gives a small chuckle and sits on a bar stool. I turn to punch the popcorn button on the oven.
"Well, you should have told me anyway. I might have gone." My face forms a small frown.
"Will you go now?"
"No." I laugh. "It's too much to do in so little time. Too much stress. I can only imagine my mom." I roll my eyes. "No, thank you. Save the drama for your llama."
Louis nearly bursts at the sems with laughter after my term. I know it's a bit outdated but, oh well.
"That was great. A good laugh. Can we finish our movie now?" Just as he finishes his question the ding of the microwave goes off. I turn and pour it into the bowl.
When the movie finishes I'm ten seconds from calling it a night. I walk him to the door and he gives me a small peck on the lips and then my forehead.
"I'll come by early tomorrow."
"Mhmm." he chuckles lightly at my short response. I balance myself on the open door and he steps outside.
"Goodnight. Close the door. Lock it."
Without a word I close the door and lock it, as he told me to. We never lock our door, but he insists that I do it when I'm home alone.

"I wish you would change your mind." my mom says across from me on my bed. Her legs are folded against her chest, effortlessly. She's in scrubs as usual, she just got off of work.
"Eh, I'm fine. I like the idea of staying in with a friend instead of trying to enjoy myself in a room full of people that I barely tolerate."
"But you would have been so pretty in a puffy short dress, or maybe something long and elegant." she gushes.
My eyes widen as she continues. She only stops when the sound of the doorbell is heard.
"I'll get it."
"Okay, I'm going to shower. We can do something when I get out."
"Okay."
When I open the door Asia is there.
