First Date:

I'm actually a little nervous. I haven't been on a date in months. This first date is different from all of the rest, I'm already in a relationship with the man I'm dating.

Louis picks me from my house and drives us to the mall.

"I figured since we weren't 'allowed' to walk around the mall and be one of those repulsive couples on the trip. That'd we'd do it now." And that's exactly what we do.

We're completely sappy and cheesy and the public displays of affection are on ten. We feed each other from our plates. We share a milkshake and we hold hands and take selfies together. It's fun and exciting.

My last relationships were nothing like this. The guys I'd dated were either too immature or self-absorbed for me.

"Hey, there's a photo booth!" Louis' voice reigns loudly in the open arcade. "C'mon, we're definitely doing this." He drags me into the booth and pays for the machine to start. We begin with a normal frame, making funny faces and mocking each other. We some how find ourselves going through five more frames before I call uncle.

The car ride home is just as fun. We blast the music and sing as loud as our voices allow. I get embarrassed when I mess up a lyric and Louis only smiles and continues to sing.

Somewhere between the verse and chorus of a Valerie I decide that I want to hear Louis sing. I quickly lean forward to cut the music when he perfectly belts out the song.

"Anna!" He shouts.

"Louis, that was amazing! Why am I just now hearing you sing?" he shrugs and focuses on the road. "At the store you should have started singing to me instead of feeding me that line about candy bars." He doesn't respond he just glances at me and chuckles.

"To be quite fair, I was a bit nervous. I didn't know how you were going to react. I'm not very familiar with the American way of chatting up a girl." he admits.

To be honest, I can only focus on the way he worded his words. He's so British.

"You're so British." I tell him.

Minutes later he pulls into my driveway.

"This was the most fun that I've had since the first night of the trip." He continues to smile.

"I agree. The best first date ever, in my opinion. Thank you for a great time." I lean over the console and kiss his lips softly. I pull away before anything goes further than it should.

"I'll call you tomorrow." I tell him and wave goodbye.
