The time of the fighting tournament has come.

Fighting Tournament

"The first match will be..." Present Mic announced. "Midoriya Izuku vs. Shinsou Hitoshi!"
As Izuku stepped into the battle ring, he didn't bother to look or even talk to his opponent. Charging up his quirk, Midoriya stood in front of Shinsou. Waiting for the fight to start, he looked at All Might. 'If only I could be a hero like him...' Looking back at his opponent, he stood casually.

"START!"

Midoriya charged towards Shinsou, ready to knock him back with a powerful hit. "You remind me of a villain, Midoriya. The way your insane face looks at everyone. You disgust me." This was Shinsou's attempt to get Izuku to talk back. It was the only way to activate his quirk. To his dismay, Izuku became more filled with doubt and sadness. His eyes began to well up with tears. 'Hold it back for now, Izuku. You'll hurt someone.' Shinsou's words filled Izuku's head with more doubt than he already had. With all his might, the curly-haired boy choked on his tears and yelled, "D-DETROIT SMASH..!" Landing a perfect punch to his opponent's chest, Izuku sent Shinsou flying backwards, hitting the wall of the stadium. A loud crack echoed throughout the arena. "I... His spine... How..."

"Shinsou is out of bounds! MIDORIYA WINS!" 

Shinsou laid on the ground, unable to move. "Heh. That was... quick..."

Izuku ran over to Shinsou. "I-I'm sorry, Shinsou... I didn't mean to hurt you this badly..." Izuku extended an arm to help his opponent up. Then he realized that Shinsou couldn't stand. "I'm- I'm really sorry... Please forgive me..." Izuku looked away in shame. "This... This is all my fault..." He ran out of the stadium, wiping his eyes as he tried to find a tranquil place to be alone.

'Why... I-I'm a monster...'

Izuku ran down the corridor and saw that the waiting room was empty. 'Everyone must be watching the battles... At least no one'll see me...' He walked in and sat down in front of one of the empty tables, weeping. 'Why did everything have to be like this?' After his crying halted, Izuku peeked outside, seeing that the second round was approaching. His excitement went down. He didn't want to hurt his opponent like he hurt Shinsou. But he knew that he had to win.

"I need to become the best hero, so that I can save others. I have to win." Izuku clenched his fists and waited patiently for his name to be called.

"The second round has started! The two contestants that will be fighting are Midoriya Izuku and Todoroki Shouto!"

Izuku walked up to the fighting ring, making eye contact with Todoroki. 

"Midoriya. Don't think that I'll go easy." The green-haired boy replied back with a weak smile. "Let's try our best, okay?" His eyes were still slightly puffy from all his crying in the waiting room. Todoroki got in his fighting stance, while Izuku just stood still. His mind was still saddened.

"START!"

Izuku suddenly blasted forward, apparently planning to strike Todoroki with one attack. Todoroki set up an ice wall, but to everyone's surprise, Izuku planned a different route. He zipped to the right, almost landing a hit on Todoroki. "Just use your left side, Todoroki! Stop holding back..!" The opponent looked at him in surprise. Izuku wasn't using all his strength. He knew that he had to appear weak in order to land a clean attack. "You're not going to hurt me... Just do it."

"Don't tell me that I didn't warn you." A jet of fire blasted in Izuku's direction, the latter successfully dodging it. Seeing that Todoroki had to have a limit, Izuku kept dodging all the attacks being sent his way. "You can't keep dodging forever. Just fight..!" Trying to look for any weak points, Izuku swiftly dodges all attacks sent in his direction. 'I found an open spot...' Thinking of a way to distract Todoroki's attention, Izuku yelled out: "Why are you holding back? Just give it your all..!" Todoroki looked startled at the question, leaving multiple spots where Izuku could attack.
