Chapter 8
Harry's POV
Todays the day our German class takes a week trip to Germany and Belgium. Thankfully Louis was in my class so I knew and could room with someone all week. Also Taylor was going with her friends Caitlin and Liz. Thankfully not Liam.
I don't know what Taylor and I are. I see her with Liam during school and then the days I don't tutor her, she's sleeping over and cuddling with me. I was too scared to ask her what we were, because I'm scared to even know what we are.
I mean I like Taylor, I just didn't know if I liked everything that went along with her... The smoking, the parties, the people that hate me. I was confused in every part. Did I want to get into all of that drama? I've already been beaten up because of what we 'have' and I don't think I could take another one of those.
"ready Har?" Louis shook me out of my daze and handed me my boarding pass
"yeah, what seat are you??"
"11A, you?"
I looked down at my seat assignment "13B... I thought we were supposed to be next to each other?"
He just shrugged and headed to the plane. I followed close behind. Who was I going to sit with then? If I weren't with Louis then I was scared to see who I was assigned next to. I mean it's a 14 hour flight, I would hate to be sitting next to someone who hated me.
I'm scared a lot.
"do you mind if I have the window-oh! Harry!"
"Taylor! Eh, yeah!" I stood up and hit my head on the overhead bin, being the nervous wreck I was. I heard a few of the girls snicker and Taylor kind of smiled. I just rubbed my head and let her sit. Why do I have to be so uncoordinated?
"Seat number 13... I say it's my lucky number, only because I was born on the 13th... and so it wasn't really an unlucky day... god I'm blabbing." She sat down and buckled up.
"its okay... my lucky number is 17... I'm not sure why though." I sat next to her and smiled. She smiled back and pulled her phone out.
"Liam won't leave me alone! I told him my phones going to be off all this time, but he still manages to text me a billion times before we leave" she ignored the texts and turned off her phone
"he just wants to make sure you're safe...." I didn't bother to finish my sentence considering what we have... I didn't want her getting any ideas it was okay for her to see two guys at once.
"Well I am." She smiled at me and pulled out her book. The plane started to move, signaling we were going to take off soon.
"the giver? Great book, I read it like five times..."
"yeah this is my first... I don't know how I feel about it just yet. Like how could someone think it was okay to block off everything to everyone so they could all be same?"
"well... take it in this standpoint. How hurt were you when your parents divorced?"
She sat and thought for a moment, leaving the area silent.
"exactly, hurt. So if they were match up with their 'perfect' mate, then kids like you won't get hurt. It's what they think is necessary to keep the world safe."
She kept thinking and then looked out the window, watching the plane leave the ground. I let out a half chuckle, knowing how she just casually ignored my statement. But that's Taylor for you.
We were up in the air for a while, and Taylor put her hand on my thigh looking over at me. I was nervous for her, I didn't want her friends seeing.
