Wednesday July,3

"Remember class, homework. It better be turned in by tomorrow." My fifth period teacher announced as the bell rang for lunch.

I grabbed my folder and quickly walked out of the classroom.

I fucking hated calculus and I hated all the work she gave us, but I was still gonna do the work though.

Right when I exited the class the teacher called me back. "Mr. Perez!"

I stopped in my tracks and swiftly walked back inside, kind of annoyed. "Yes?"

She stayed silent for a while, watching the last couple of students walk out before proceeding. "How's it going?" She smiled.

"Good. I guess." I nodded.

"Great great. I just wanted to talk to you about your grades."

"What, am I failing?" I asked.

I wouldn't be surprised if I was, but being a senior I couldn't afford to fail a course.

"Not exactly but you're sitting at a D average and I want to encourage you to put your best foot forward because I know that you can do better."

I sighed. "Look Mrs. Love, I've been putting my best foot forward all year."

"Is that right?"

I nodded. "Yes."

"Ok well maybe a little more effort won't hurt right? Feel free to see after school sometimes for tutoring if you'd like extra help."

I nodded. "Ok."

"Alright. Go on. And stop wearing those shades in my room. It's against school dress code.

I took a deep breath and walked out, ignoring her and stepped into the somewhat empty hallway. Everyone else had already made it to the cafeteria I guess.

Yesterday I didn't eat in there, I wanted to avoid confrontation with that guy crystal was with.

It's not that I'm scared or anything, I just didn't want to waste my time with that guy. Besides I don't need any trouble. I'm too mature for unintelligent people like him to push me to do something I may regret...

But today I guess I'll go to the cafeteria. Hopefully no bullshit takes place.

I walked down the empty hallways slowly. I wasn't in any type of rush.
