Chapter 1

My alarm awakens me. I jolt up while "Lights down low" is playing from my phone. I look over to my night stand to grab it and turn it off.

"FUCK! It's 6:50! I'm gonna be late" I say worried as I jump outta bed rubbing my eyes. I ran straight into the bathroom. I hop in the shower and wash myself as fast as I could. Then I brush my teeth, run back into my room, pur on my clothes, make my bed, and then go back into the bathroom so I can do my hair and apply my Makeup.

"Holy Shit! It's 7:25! I gotta go" I say as I run across my room to grab my purse, bookbag, and phone. I run back to the other side of my room and hold onto the doorway and swing around, grab onto the railing in the hallway, and dart down the stairs.

I run over to my mom and tell her goodbye and kiss her on the cheek.
"You haven't even eaten your breakfast Honey!"
"I know Mom, I'm running late but I'll be fine"
"Alright then. Have a good day today Jay-Jay! I love you and be careful!"
I love you to Mom! I will And Please Don't call me That!" I say back as I grab my keys off the hook beside the door and run outside.
I get in my car, buckle my seatbelt, and then start the engine. As I back out of the driveway, I turn on the Radio "Crossfire" By Stephen came on and I thought about school as I sang along.

'Hmmm... I Wonder What could go wrong this year... What could go good as well? 🤔 Oh Sweet Baby Jesus! 😩 keep me AWAY from all distractions, Drama, and BOYS this year!!!'

I arrive to school and see my best friend right away. She is holding 2 Starbucks drinks and 2 Biscuits. I honk at her as I'm parking my car and she waves as she is running over to me.
"OMG JADE I MISSED YOU!" She squealed and as I rolled down my window.
"Girl chill we saw each other last weekend and we spent like all summer together! Chill" I say back to her.
"I know, I know! I'm just so excited today! How was your week? And are you glad school is starting on a Wednesday instead of a Monday this year?"
"It was actually kinda boring and Omg Yes! I'm thrilled! These first few days will go by faster since we are starting 2 days late!"
"True. Thank God! The first couple of days are the worst. Hey I got you something!"

*Lia hands me the biscuit and Drink*

"Thanks girl! I'm starving. I didn't Eat breakfast today"

I got out of my car and gave her a long overdue hug that lasted for like 3 minutes.

We continue talking but were interrupted by this car with an extremely loud and obnoxious bass system. It pulled up on the other side of the lot and parked a few spaces away from this dude named Jose

Lia and I turned towards the car that was making all the noise.
"Who in the fuck is the idiot driving that car?!" I said annoyed as this dude hopped out of his beautiful, shiny, red convertible

Lia walks closer to the School to see across the lot and waves her hand at me to signal me to follow her. I walk up to her as I'm eating my biscuit and look at the car. There are two guys leaning against the car and on sitting inside the car.For some reason one of the guys had a crowd of girls around him. I looked at Lia Confused and she just shrugs her shoulders. I think about who it could be as I drink my tea.

*Bell Rings*
"Oh well.😂 fuck it. Let's go before we are late to class."

She takes her last sip of her drink and I take the last bite of Biscuit.
"Oh Yeah! We have all 3 first periods together Btw. I already went in and got our schedules, etc."
"YAS!! That is Lit" I say to her as we walk in And we throw our trash away.
"For Real!" She giggles. "That's wassup Bro!"
We laugh as we make our way to the first class of the day.
