Jack

Jack stared at the dead bodies of his family and friends in horror. His heart felt crushed. How could this have happened? How could he be alone? How were his parents here? Had he caused this somehow? He tenderly stroked Mia's cold cheek and closed her eyes. He sunk in his despair, wallowing. He felt the weight of their loss like chains, holding him down.

His worst fear was realized and he felt paralyzed. He was alone now. He had lost everyone. His fear morphed into sadness and that switched to anger.

Jack needed answers. He needed to revenge for his family!

He stood up, his anger growing by the minute. He would destroy the maze stone by stone. It had taken everything from him! Jack clenched his fists. His fear would do him no good. He banished the fear, anger tinting his vision red.

"You think that you can do this, maze? You think that you can take everything from me? Well, you thought wrong! I will destroy you! You brought them here! I'M NOT AFRAID OF YOU!"

His word sunk into the stones. The golden veins stopped glowing, dropping the room into darkness. When the veins began to glow again, their light much fainter, there was a doorway in the wall.

Jack charged through it and found himself in the center of the maze.
