Rose

Rose remained curled up, feeling alone and helpless. They had left her. They had abandoned her. The people she had thought might become her first true friends had left her, just like Emma did. No one cared about her. No one would help her...

But, that wasn't new. No one ever had in the past and she had managed just fine. Right? She had found solace and companionship in her books. She had never relied on other people. Sure, it was terrifying to know that she was alone in a strange structure, but Middle School had been scary without friends, too.

Rose shot to her feet, determination in her eyes. Feeling the need to hear a voice she said "My fear may be being alone, but I always have been. This is not new. I will make it out myself! I have always succeeded before!"

Then, something strange happened: the golden veins stopped glowing right as she stopped talking. When she was able to see again, she found a doorway and walked through to finally reach the center of the maze.
