But oh well :3

Hope you enjoy ^-^

Serena's POV

3 years...

It's been 3 long depressing years since I have been left alone. 3 years since I've gone outside to explore the world. 3 years since I've actually made any friends. 3 years since I've stopped attending school. 3 years since I've actually interacted with a NORMAL human being.

How so?

After my mother died which surprisingly spread like wildfire around the neighborhood, the government's officials decided to take me in, but I kinda snapped and attacked them. Thinking I was crazy like what they thought of my mother, they sent me to an asylum, and it's no fun at all.

Every single day and time, I hear children, adults, screaming, laughing, giggling, talking about nonsense things. Being in this place for 3 years, it's a miracle I haven't gone insane yet. I was completely normal, just a normal every day teen girl, but to them I seem..dangerous. my care takers, all of them, quit their job just because I looked so called "hostile", which I wasn't! All I do is quietly stare at them with a blank expression, waiting for them to do something, but it seems that staring makes it seems as if I was plotting something evil to get rid of them.

Seriously, I don't know what's wrong with adults. Also i have enough with this poor treatment, I don't even know why I stayed inside this devil hole for so long.

In the middle of the night, when the staff were all asleep (I know, bery responsible right?), I looked outside of my window. I grip the iron bars and tried to pull, you could say being inside this place made me a bit of an idiot.

After a couple more minutes of attempting to break the bars, I collapsed on the ground completely exhausted from pulling it with all my might. I glanced at the door and an idea came in mind.

I went to my bed and grabbed a key undee my pillow.

'Let's see if this key is for the door and not for an apartment from one of my caretakers'

I looked at the key for a minute and prayed to god that this key would be my way out.

'This is my only chance'

I close my eyes and mentally prepared myself for the worst. I took a breath and open my eyes and put the key on the keyhole of the door.

"..."

The uneasy chill was all over the place, the feeling of judgement as if the gods are looking down at me, deciding my fate for all eternity from this one small key. Sweat ran down from my forehead to my chin, teeth gritting each other, legs trembling along with my arms, and my whole being was tense.

I turned the key and the door is now....unlocked.

I pulled the key out and turned the door knob and the door opened. I quietly pulled the door and what I thought was freedom, was another door but it's metal and can only be open by a code.

I fall on my knees and weep.

"What am I gonna do now?! What...am I gonna...mother..why.."

"Expect the unexpected" that's what my science teacher used to say :p

Freaking physics and it's bullshhejduehrkeo.

Anyway, hope you enjoyed and see in the next chapter :3
