-Skylar's POV-

What's up I'm Skylar Sands and I'm 17 years old and I'm a really big nerd that gets bullied a lot, I live with my 14 year old brother Hunter and with my dad, my mom died a few months ago so it's just us 3.

I just got home from the store getting groceries, I get out and go to the back of the trunk getting the bags then close it heading inside.

I get to the door and I'm having trouble getting the key because of the bags but I eventually get the door open.

I walk in closing the door then head to the kitchen and it's really dark in here because it's night, I get to the kitchen and set the bags on the island but some apples fall onto the ground.

I groan bending down and pick them up, I put them back in the bag then walk up to the light switch turning it on but the light isn't coming on.

Come on I mumble still flicking the switch and nothing, I grab a tissue and blow my nose becuase of my allergies.

I grab a flashlight and head to the basement, I'm at the top of the stairs and turn on the flashlight then head down the stairs.

I get down and flash the light around to see our old stuff, I start walking then I hear something move so I quickly turn around gasping.

Hello? I say and nothing so I turn back around and walk up to the electrical box, I open it and look for the switch for the upstairs.

I close the door and see like a skeleton mask and growling, I scream with the flash going off and I know it's my little brother so I punch him and he falls to the ground groaning.

I quickly open the door again and turn on all the lights, what's your problem? He questions getting up.

Hunter, how many times have I told you not to do that to me I tell him waking past him, this is a really good one he says while I blow my nose again getting to the top of the stairs.

Come on, we have to make dinner I tell him ignoring what he said.

( 30 minutes later)

Destruker 4 the down of death I hear off of Hunter's laptop, did I tell you destruker 4 comes out this weekend? Hunter tells me.

Yeah, you mention it, it's rated R I replie setting the plates down at the table, dad said he'd take me he says.

No, he said, we'll see I say, what are we having for dinner, what we having? He ask.

Todi stir fry I tell him, just because your a vegetarian does it mean we have to stave, humans eat meat Skylar, it's what we have these he says showing me his teeth.

Move I tell him and he moves his laptop, thank you I say again putting a plate down.

Why do we have 4 places? He questions then the doorbell rings, I invited Ms. Carlsburg from down the street for dinner I replie.

Why would you do that? He questions again, I thought it would be good for dad, be nice to her I tell him then head to the door.

I open it to see her hello she says smiling holding a pie, hi I replie smiling back.

( 15 minutes later)

We're sitting at the table then we hear the door open and close yeah yeah, just grabbing a quick bite, all right, I'll see you soon, uh, bye-bye, I'll call you back my dad says on his phone then hangs up.
