my feet tread the ground
nothing sounds
but my heart pounds
I feel as if I should turn around
I'm not sure if I should
I wonder what would
happen if I did
or if I ran and hid
something tells me I need to run
but wouldn't that ruin the fun?
something suspenseful like mystery
or something as old as history
click clack click clack
the sound I hear as I step
yes I kept
moving on forward
ignoring the voice
I made my choice
I know now I should listen
when I see eyes of man glisten
something is coming for me
and no, it won't let me be
only faith and trust alone
will calm this thunderous tone
everyone has a voice inside
but sometimes you choose to hide
from it which causes your own pain
it's just another burden gain
listen to that voice inside
do not choose to hide
because if you don't you shall see
that voice just may change history.
