crunch
hiss
yelp
screech
my foot bleeds
it treads across the broken glass;
a sea of disarray
the light shines no more
my soul...dim
my heart is heavy
my body is weak
I...
wish I could've done more
but I failed!
I failed!
the crimson liquid oozes from my wound
funny thing is--i don't feel the pain
it calms me down as a matter of fact
it brings me peace
pain inflicted on ones self
sometimes brings comfort
such as to me
but, my light hasn't gone out yet
through the cracks in the roof
i find light
the sky setting in an array of different colours
each playing a beautiful part
the shattered glass beneath my feet
the has cut into me
is in the past
i must move on
i must stand strong
there's always light somewhere
there's always an obstacle in life
try to look beyond the
shattered glass
and look ahead
to find true potential.
