Chapter four: From one world to the other!

Half way through English I can't help but completely ignore everything my teacher is saying. My mind is way to preoccupied with having SEBASTIAN FREAKING MICHAELIS IN THIS WORLD! And breathe..also the fact that my demon half has killed... Shivering at the thought, the action the teacher Mr Hillkin seems to notice.

"Alex are you alright? You don't look so good." Truth be told I don't feel good, but I nod anyway.

"Yes, sorry just feeling a bit off." Like everything just hit me in the guts off. He nods.

"Well if you feel any worse feel free to leave for a bit." I nod back and try to bring my focus back to the lesson. Which works as well as trying to turn water into fire.

The rest of the lesson goes by in a blur, my mind being too stubborn to work with me. The sound of the class bell pierces through my ears as it signals the end of the lesson and for me, time for lunch. I get up ignorant of the fact Sophie and Zoe are both trying to get my attention. Until Zoe actually sends a book flying at my face, quickly putting my hands up in defence it rebounds onto the floor.

"Sorry, but hell you didn't have to send a book at my face." I smile innocently, Zoe shakes her head tutting as us three walk out, after she picks up the book. Sophie smiles at me as we head to the refectory.

"It's ok, you must tell us what being away on mars is like some time." She teases making me roll my eyes..wait, crap I have to see Sebastian. I stop just as we get outside, sighing and looking skyward.

"Erm, sorry guys I just remembered I have a tutor lesson for my character with James." I say praying that they will believe me. They both look at me Sophie more than Zoe as Zoe doesn't do drama, Sophie puts her hands on her hips.

"What act and scene are you practicing." I blink, great interrogation by Sophie...

"Act 2 scene 5." I smile convincingly, aware of each moment ticking past that I could be getting more information from Sebastian. Sophie seems satisfied at my reply as she flicks her blond hair from her right shoulder.

"Hmm ok, well at least we both don't have any other lessons today so see you later!" Well that 'see you later' sounded almost like an order.

"Yes sir!" I grin and she sends me a dagger glare before chuckling.

"Careful you could hurt someone with that glare." I grin and she huffs accompanied with a shrug.

"That's the idea." She counters back and they both start walking away, I grin and wave, before heading off quickly towards the drama room. I open the door and walk in, not seeing him so I just sit down on the stage, pulling my phone out just as I hear a voice.

"I see you are back." His voice comes from the stage left exit, he walks down the steps then to the desk.

"No this is Alex's doppelganger." I reply sarcastically. He sits down and looks over to me with a poker face.

"No I believe your doppelganger is still trying to wreak havoc back in my lords world." As he said it I realised what I said. Eh, guess he has a point. Jumping down and going over, leaving my bag on the stage.

"You have a point there and getting to the point, how are we going to stop her..I mean me..same difference." Giving up on trying to make sense, sliding a chair from the side of the room and sit opposite him.

"First we need to return and then everything can be explained in more detail but first when we do go back one of two outcomes will happen." Oh? Inclining my head listening carefully. He leans forwards his left elbow on the table on which he rest his chin on the back of his hand.

"One, we will return and you will have your demon side back which you will have to re-take control of. Or two. This is when we return you will not have your demon side back and will be in fact, two separate beings. If this happens we will take it from there." I lean back in my chair taking it in, two separate beings? Well that would be highly troublesome.. My right index finger taps quickly on the edge of the chair.

"Ok well lets hope that does not happen, how do we get back?" I ask hoping it would be simple.

"For me it is simple as I have the contract with my lord, it is easy for me to go back just hard to come here. For you however..you may have to be close to death." My finger stops tapping. Staring at him with a 'you have got to be kidding' gaze. Of course it wouldn't be simple would it? No that would take away the fun for the universe to watch me panicking wouldn't it? I swear if the universe ever came into one physical thing that I could hit I would be using it as a punching bag right now.

"But I do say 'may' as this could also go two ways. What you don't know, is that once you returned here, in our world you died for a minute as you both separated." Oh this just keeps getting better and better...my face must be a mix of, just 'slight' worry and annoyance. He continues as I rub my forehead like that will make everything better.

"The first time you arrived, we are still not sure how that worked but it is more than likely to be harder this time around. I will also have to be there in contact with you as it might help you return if we both travel at the same time. A sort of grounding for you. That is the part that might very well bring you close to death as I will essentially be dragging you to a different form of this world." A million questions are spinning around in my head right now, I look down at the table and try to pick one out the the spinning mass in my head.

"Right then...will the time still be the same as last time?" I look up at him. "I mean when I was in your world I was gone from here for quite a while, yet when I came back, it was more or less the same time." He almost seemed surprised that I had thought this through..well that is just rude if you ask me. Though I am not going to say anything about that at this moment in time, it can go alongside 1. Once acquired demon side pushing him off the roof of a building. Oh yes trust me that is still happening, big time.

"I would have thought so but of course it is always possible to change." I nod and mutter to myself, slowly going through the mess in my head, taking questions and answering them myself. Then the most obvious one hit me in the face, I could almost feel it as it made impact.

"Where the heck do I try to go back..I can't do it at home for obvious reasons I guess it will have to be here." Hi parents don't mind me bringing a teacher who's not really a teacher home to travel to a different world. Nothing major.

"Yes it will be here and you will have to hope that the time stays the same." I blink and look at him realising I was still speaking out loud, oh well better place than any.

"As soon as possible right?" I ask knowing the answer as he nods in agreement. I take a breath.

"Yes, it would be preferred." He reply's confirming what I already knew but still needed to ask, I sit back in the chair.

"Well then..I say lets get this done shall we? And lets hope I have my demonic side straight back." I change the chair position so it's in the corner of the wall just in case I for some reason happen to fall out of the chair.
Which knowing me would probably happen. Sebastian moves his chair as I sit back on mine leaning back, trying to keep my heart from skipping beats being just a little bit nervous...Ok best understatement of the year goes to me. He sits less than a two feet away and takes both of my wrists, under any other situation I would probably be hyper but heck not right now. I take a deep breath as he speaks.

"Now please do your best to come back with me at the same time for it would be an annoyance to have to come back for you twice." He does his classic closed eye smile but with a hint of 'I might just kill you if you fail'. Forcing down as much of the nervousness as possible giving a half grin.

"Now that's no way to speak to the person you need to stop...well me." I knew it was a mistake to back chat him but I couldn't resist it. He grips my wrists and blinks.

The last thing I see are his onyx eyes melting away into his crimson demon orbs glaring at me.
A gasp of sudden, sharp, raw burning pain escapes me, a feeling of being ripped out of reality. My eyes see nothing and everything as something like searing electricity jolts my body, like it's being torn apart.

Like something doesn't want me to come back alive.....
