Erin's POV
Days had passed and it was finally the day of Ty's funeral. I was there for Kels as much as possible and we became a little closer. She stayed with me for the past week because she was scared to be home alone.
"Are you ready Kels? They getting ready to line the cars up!" I said yelling from downstairs.
"I'm coming!"
She walked downstairs. Her eyes were puffy. She's been crying on and off nonstop since the night Ty was killed. I'm not good at wiping tears but hell I been doing it. Me and Kels are finishing our classes online. We'll be graduating in 6 months.
"Zeke! Nigga hurry the fuck up!" I said waiting for him to tie his shoes.
"Aight man damn!"
Zeke and Kels had pushed their problems aside. Zeke left the drug game and got him a job at Zaxbys. Kels has been dodging Bangz. I knew he'd be coming for her soon though. I know he's found out about the death of Ty. Everybody found out about Ty. The whole city took a loss.
We got in the car and headed towards the funeral. The funeral was kind of sad. Kels cried harder seeing Ty lifeless. She cried even worser carrying her casket. When we got to the graveyard, Kels was able to sit with the family since they were so close.
She was buried at the same cemetery as my brother. Not too far from him either. I knew it was kind of disrespectful but I walked of in route to see my brother. When I saw his tombstone I just broke down.
"Erick I know you hear me man. I know you see this shit going on in my life! I need you to guide me! I need you to help me find out who did this to you E! I need you to watch over mama. How you doing up there? Yeen up there getting on Hod nerves is it? I said giggling wiping my tears. "I love you E! I always will!" I kissed his tombstone and walked off.
When I walked back over, I made sue my face was dry and I stood in my same spot. Kels was giving a speech about Ty. Just in time.
"Man Ty was my bestfriend. It's some things she knew about me and never told nobody. She took it to the grave with her and I love her for that. She gave me one task to do before she died and I'm going to. I promised her and Ian breaking my promise. Ty ain't gone forever...She just beginning to live." she said at the podium.
I teared up again. I wonder what the task was? I'll ask her soon. They lowered her body and bursts of tears fell from everybody's face. Kels lost it. She even tried to jump in the ground with her.
I had been peeping that two SUV trucks had crept into the graveyard. They sat there for almost 5 minutes and nobody noticed. The windows rolled down and I saw a clip.
"Oh shit! Everybody duck! They finna shoot!" I said.
I grabbed Zeke and Kels and we dove behind the bushes. The shots had continued for a couple of minutes before tires screeched.
"They shot Ty funeral up! They brought this shit to her fucking funeral B!" Kels said banging her head with her fists. "Hay chill Kels. I need you to be calm."
"I'm gone kill them niggas! Ima find em and Ima kill em!" she said. I quickly grabbed her trying to calm her down and told Zeke to come on. We got in the car and went home.
"Aye E! It's a party at the school gym in memorie of Ty tonight! Security strictly enforced." he said handing me his phone to show me the flyer. I showed the flyer to Kels and she nodded.
"Lets go." she said.
I felt hesitant because of what happened last time but I didn't have a bad feeling about this one so I went with the flow.
