it's better to fight for something than to stand for nothing.
Needless to say, I made Lois eat her words. Or, in place of her words, were my fists. Sadly I only got 2 punches in and a couple claw marks before Clark pulled me away. He drug me out of the restaurant as I screamed rather profane words at her.
"Why did you do that?" Clark finally asked after we were settled in my car. My breathing was still rigid, my hands were shaking, but I was rather calm. She deserved it. And that's exactly what I told Clark. "Violence is never the answer, McKinley." I scoffed.
"It is when you're dealing with a mythic bitch." I murmured, starting my car. After a few moments of awkward silence, I finally asked the question that was on my mind since he had brought me out here. "Are you going back in for her?" There was a pause, then I felt a hand on my thigh.
"Why would I choose her over you?" There was a pause, then a sigh. "She may be my coworker, but I have feelings for you. In fact, you're the first person I've felt this strongly for in- in forever."
And with that, I crunk up my car, and drove us back to my house.
~ 4 hours later ~
"You can't be serious!"
"Why wouldn't I be?"
Of all things, I had to fall for a guy who had never seen a broadway musical.
"Not even 'Cats'?!"
"What kind of songs would they even...? Never mind, it doesn't matter. I've never had any reason to delve into the world of Broadway!" Clark spoke defensively.
"Please tell me you've at least heard of 'Hamilton'?" I was basically grasping for straws at this point.
"Nope, but I take it you have," he chuckled as my face reddened. "What's it about?" As my face glowed and I began to slightly jump up and down, it was fairly obvious he regretted asking.
"Well it's basically this history lesson about how much of an intelligent dumbass founding father Alexander Hamilton was. It also shows how ungrateful he was of Eliza, how under-appreciated her little sister Peggy was, how selfless her older sister Angelica was, how he and John Laurens were definitely hot for each other, how he totally was a bitch to Lafayette when he needed him the most, and how Aaron Burr was a ding-dong-diddly dickhead," I said in one breath. "Oh, and T. Jeff and James Madison were totally a thing."
"Uh, wow. Anything else I should know?"
"Alexander Hamilton would've wrote some damn good fan fiction."
