Chapter 16

*Lexi's POV*

I got up at 6:30 this morning, so that I could be ready at 7:30 to go meet Janet! She said that today, we will be looking for a label to sign me.. I hope SOMEONE wants me! ahaha I got showered and did my hair .. Then I went to my closet and put on a white v neck and blacck shorts.. I went downstairs and my dad was sitting at the table,

Dad: Where you off to this early?

Lexi: I have interviews to see what label I sign with remember?

Dad: oh thats right.. have fun bud

Lexi: thanks dad :)

Me and my dad have always had a "father and son" relationship, I was pretty much his little "boy". My mom left when I was 6, and she took Gracie (age 5) with her. I grew up with just me and my dad, and I practically lived like a guy. Take out food almost every night, staying up late to watch football, playing catch in the park. I even started to hate pink and that stuck with me.. I still hate that colour, The point is.. me and my dad have the bond and trust of a father and son, which is A LOT. When Gracie moved back with us 3 years ago, she became daddy's little princess, she got all the attention, and she was the girl. Now he calls her princess, or "my little girl" and im "bud" or "champ". We still go out just me and him, and eat wings at the local bar and grill while we watch the hockey game with his friends. I like being close to my dad, he's the most important person in my life. Without him.. I'd be nothing.. Or worse, I'd be with my mom :$ She didn't really like me, she always had better things to do than spend time with the family, so eventually she left. She used to call or text me all the time, asking how I was.. But she slowly stopped. Now, the last time I heard from her was 7 months ago, when she tried to get me to move in with her, she took me to a movie, and she bribed me with a car. But it never happened, I haven't heard from her since. That also made me and my dad closer, because we've both felt abandon by her. We connect on a whole different level. He's literally my life.

I hugged him and left to meet Janet. When I got to her office, she was leaning against a giant oak desk with a frantic look on her face..

Lexi: hey Janet, whats wrong?

Janet: I can't get anyone to sign you!

Lexi: We haven't even gone to interviews?

Janet: They won't even accept to see you for an interview! They say that you need to talk to Disney!

Lexi: i'm not turning into a Disney girl, im sorry.

Janet: I dont want you to be a Disney girl!

Lexi: good. Soo.. what do we do?

Janet: Unless you can magically pull a producer that wants to sign you out of your pocket, then we do nothing.

Lexi: Wait.. give me 5 minutes, I need to make a call.

Janet: ok?

I ran into the washroom and took out my phone..
