Y/N's POV
Being apart of Uma's pirate crew was as hard as it gets. For one, you had to follow her every command. Secondly, you had to preform the same musical number everyday. Lastly, you had to watch the boy you've had a crush on since you were kids hit it off with her.
There was no doubt that Harry and Uma fancied each other and for the longest you had a hope that you and Harry would be together.
Well, that was crushed the day you witnessed Harry ask Uma to be his girlfriend. You didn't understand what he saw in her. She treated him as more of a slave than a boyfriend.
Everyone at Ursula's Fish & Chips had just finished singing "What's My Name?" for the fifteenth time today and everyone was exhausted.
"Well I'm going home guys." You said sadly as you watched Harry and Uma hug.
"Y/N let me walk you home, you know it's dangerous out there." Harry insisted.
Your tiny heart fluttered. If only he saw you as more than just a friend. "Well, let's go then pirate boy." You replied with a smile.
The walk home was very immersive as you and Harry talked about random things. Suddenly, he intertwined his hand with yours.
"Harry, don't you think that's a little too much? I mean you have a girlfriend." You said looking up at him.
"I'm only with her because of the circumstances Y/N. If she does get off this island, I have to be on her good side so I can manage to get me and you out of this place. I've honestly always wanted you." He replied.
"I understand you're doing this for me and I want you too, but what if Uma or one of her many crew mates catches us? They're going to tell her. Then we'll both walk the plank." I said finally untangling my hand from his.
"Don't worry, Uma has Ben and is going to have the wand traded for him. We'll be out of here in no time. Then, we can finally be together." He said, stopping and looking at me. "Speaking of Ben, be at the ship tomorrow at noon, that's where the trade will be taking place." He continued.
"Harry, I don't want to take over Auradon. I just want a chance and this is not the way to go about it." I said, scared of what the outcome might be.
"Are you going soft on me Y/N? Either way, we get out of here. I thought that's what you wanted?" He replied.
"I'm not going soft, I just... never mind. Well, this is my stop. See ya Harry." I said while hugging him.
"Bye Y/N." He said while hugging back.
*The Next Day @ Noon*
You arrived a little late and everyone was in the middle a music number. Everyone was dancing to an upbeat rapping/singing thing. You walked in directly on Harry's part.
"All it takes is one swing and I'll humiliate him
Matter of fact, make one wrong move and I'll debilitate him
And if he even starts to slip, I'll eliminate him
All it takes is one long look and I'll---." Harry started before I interrupted.
"I think they get it Harry, calm down." I said pulling him back.
The song continued, and this time you joined.
