EPILOGUE

-6 years later-

-Shinhee's POV-

I quickly got ready for work today. I decided to get a job since I had just finished university and I have nothing to do at home.

I packed my stuff and rushed to the restaurant I was working at. Yes yes I know I used to work at a restaurant but that was only part-time and I quitted after a while. This time, I'll be working at a very famous restaurant, full-time, as a cashier.

I got on the bus and sat on a seat at the back. The restaurant is quite far away so I decided to listen to some music on my phone.

Suddenly, I felt a presence next to me.

A lady, around her thirties sat down next to me. She was carrying a handbag and was wearing a mask, with sharp eyes looking towards the front. Somehow... She looked familiar.

I didn't bother anymore and continued to listen to music. I was looking at the scenery outside the bus when my gaze accidentally landed on a scar on that woman's temple.

That scar... It looked too familiar...

No, it can't be right? It can't be her...

Right?

No, I have to asked her, what if she IS her?

I tapped on her shoulder and she turned her head towards mine. Her eyes widened and my eyes widened too. I couldn't be anymore sure that she is...

Minjae unnie.

B-but how?!

"Unnie..." I called her as a tear escaped my eye. Please don't tell me this is a dream... Please...

"Shinhee..." It was her. I was a hundred percent sure it was her.

"Minjae unnie... B-but why?! How?!" I asked her and she sighed. I still couldn't believe I found Minjae!

"Well you see, the doctors told you I was dead right? But actually they wanted to send me somewhere for a dangerous experiment so they couldn't let you guys know. I heard them talking so I faked amnesia, saying that I don't remember you guys. Then, they took me to an unfamiliar place and locked me in a room. However, I wasn't that stupid of course, I escaped and came back. Sounds unbelievable, but it's true," she explained and I nodded my head. So Minjae unnie wasn't dead after all? Yay!

I hugged her and said, "I missed you, you know? Do you know how have my six years been without you (mhm I like nct aye)? Horrible! I couldn't sleep and I kept on locking my self in my room," I told her and she ruffled my hair.

"Aww I'm sorry I took so long... They were conducting a huge experiment so I had to take time to escape," she said. "By the way how's you and Ju-" I cut her off.

"We were over 6 years ago just because he found out I was younger than him," I said and felt down instantly.

"Oh I'm sorry," she said but I shook my head.

"It's OK, I'll find my love in the future, I'm still young," I said and chuckled.

I reached my work place after we exchanged numbers and I bid good bye to unnie, "Bye unnie! Remember to come back to our 'dorm'!" Yes, I still keep out little apartment cause I wasn't able to earn enough money to rent another better house.

I walked into my big work place and looked around. Wow, this restaurant is seriously big, I wonder who has so much money to build such a big restaurant and hire so many chefs. I was wandering around until someone tapped my shoulder.

"Excuse me miss, are you the new cashier that was hired?" A young lady asked me, she looked kind. I nodded my head and she smiled.

"I'm Tzuyu and I'll be the waiter working near the chaier so you'll see me pretty often... Shinhee am I right?" I nodded and smiled. I knew I wouldn't regret working here.

"Oh right, you have to meet the boss and sign a few more contracts before you start to work," she said and I nodded. She led me to a room behind the counter that said 'office' and gestured me to knock on the door.

I knocked twice.

"Come in," a voice said and I went in.

There was a guy, around his twenties, looking down at sheets of paper on his table.

"Um... Excuse me," I said and he finally looked up.

Time froze.

We both started at each other in the eye.

"Sh-shinhee..." He said and brought me back to my sense.

"J-jungkook..." I said.

"Why are you here?" He asked me and a tear unknowingly escaped my eye.

"I should be asking you that, why did you suddenly disappear, you cut off all your contacts and I coundlt find you..." I said as more tears came.

"I'm sorry... I... After what happened I wanted some time alone," he explained.

"Minjae... She's not dead," I told him and he looked up to me, shocked.

"What?! Why?!" He asked as his eyes widened.

"I'll explain later," I said and he nodded.

"Okay then... Anyways umm... So basically, I'm the boss of this restaurant and here are the contracts you need to sign," he said and passed me a few papers. He gestured me to take a seat. I sat down and started filling in the papers.

In the middle of filling the papers, Jungkook suddenly said something, "Shinhee noon- I mean Shinhee, I know there were some misunderstandings last time. We were both young and childish but I still have some feelings for you... So could we please start a new? I'm Jeon Jungkook, let's be great friends," he outstretched his arm. I shook his arm and said, "My name's Shinhee, you can call me Shin-dongsaeng..."

"Or noona," I joked and the both of us laughed.

"Okay... Noona," he said and the both of us burst into laughter again. I had a great feeling that this was going to be the start of a new friendship.

Sometimes, people misunderstand things and we don't have the chance to clear up. Because so, storms, fights would occur and that's the hardest and dullest time of life...

But remember this...

A rainbow would always appear after a storm.
