~Idareah, White Fang territory, 1,000 years ago~
I walked around my home thinking about what my father had told me. I was going to be Alpha. I was so excited that I had to go for a run.
When I walked outside I saw my sister fighting with another female wolf
"You are trying to steal my mate!" the blonde haired girl snarled. At this accusation my sister growled.
"You think I want your mate? That is disgusting. Your mate isn't worthy of my attention. I am the daughter of an alpha. But since you challenged me to a fight to the death, I will have him. And you will die." My Sister crouched down and her eyes flashed. That was not normal. Our eyes stayed the same when we shifted.
I watched as the blonde girl shifted into her small grey wolf. Her animal pelt clothing falling to the floor in tatters. Soon enough my sister shifted and jumped on the smaller wolf. My sisters auburn colored wolf went for the younger girls neck and her jaws locked on. The grey wolf howled in pain, and tried shaking my sister off. But as the Alpha's daughters we had been taught to fight to the death. And that was what Niceah was doing.
I watched as Niceah let go and swiped her paw across the smaller wolfs eye leaving large gashes and blinding the grey wolf in one eye. That was a horrible move but decent in strategy. The smaller wolf tried to bite Niceah's leg and that was her stupid move. My sister latched her jaws onto the younger wolf's neck and shook her. After a few moments of this Niceah dropped the wolf and stood over her. She bared her teeth and the grey wolf wimpered. In a flash Niceah tore out the grey wolf's throat and howled. I turned my eyes from the gruesome sight and went back inside not feeling the run anymore.
What my sister had done was horrible. Nobody was allowed to drag a fight on that long, and they definitely werent allowed to howl in pride after. It was against the rules.
I watched as my father and mother rushed outside to see what all the commotion had been and heard their shocked gasps.
"Niceah! What have you done?" My father shouted. I hear my sister's growl of defiance and felt the air shimmer. Meaning she had shifted.
"She accused me of wanting her mate. I did not. And She challenged me to a fight to the death." My sister said. She acted as if she had been right to kill that young wolf the way she had. She acted as if she did not care that she had just killed someone's mate.
My father was enraged. He loved his pack as he loved his mate and daughters.
"That is no reason to harm, let alone kill, a pack member! This is unacceptable Niceah!" My father was enraged. Niceah looked around helplessly and her eyes landed on me. The were full of terror even though her outer Demeanor showed absolutely nothing.
"Guards! Take her to the Elders. If she fights back do not be afraid to bind her arms and legs." My fathers voice boomed loudly. Finally terror filed in on my sisters face. Gasps were heard all around us and whispers started.
"never in all my two thousand years of living has an alpha ever had their child guarded and sent to the elders"
Never? So Niceah is the first? That did not sound good. In our relm we lived young until we were murdered. We cannot die. And hearing of a wolf of two thousand years was not common. Most barley made it to one thousand. He must know something. I must find him.
I searched for a long while but suddenly my neck hairs rose indicating that someone, or something powerful was near. I looked around more closely and saw him.
"Sir! Wait!" I yelled as I grabbed his arm. He turned to look at me and I saw it. Ice blue eyes. Never in a thousand years had a wolf with eyes as blue as his been born or any Wolf with blue eyes. And when I gasped he laughed. His laugh was deep and warm.
