St. Roch : 1975

"Looks like they're having a party without us," Lace commented. They had robbed a car after being kicked out of the bar. Only to come back to a fight.

"I'm gonna run him over," Mick stated. He drove the car into someone that wasn't part of the team. Lace quickly exited the car and regretted that she didn't have her katana.

"We go out for one lousy drink, and you guys somehow managed to pick a fight with Boba Fett," Snart said, powering up his cold gun.

"I care about living instead of chatting at the moment," Lace replied. They all took off running towards the Waverider. Snart and Mick gave them cover until they were in the vessel and closed the doors.

"Professor Boardman has severe internal injuries," Gideon informed them.

"Prepare the MedBay to receive Professor Boardman and get us out of here!" Rip ordered.

"Why do we care about Boardman?" Lace asked. "He's dead either way."

"He's our son," Kendra answered.

"So? He's from 1975 and we're from 2016. He's dead to me," Lace argued.

"But he isn't dead right now," Carter shot back.

"So what now? We are going to go back in time and collect all of your children? Boardman is as good as dead right now," Lace replied. "You are holding onto the past and not moving forward. You can't process anything correctly like this."

"What are you? A therapist?" Kendra asked.

"More like a psychologist, who knows this won't end well," Lace answered. She turned around and started to head up.

Waverider : temporal zone

"Our cloaking shield and aft entrance have been significantly compromised, Captain," Gideon informed them. Lace sat in the chair strapped in while they were flying through unknown time.

"Yes, I can see that, Gideon," Rip replied. He unstrapped himself which made Lace wonder if it was safe for her too. "I stationed us in the temporal zone while I work on repairs."

Lace unstrapped herself as Ray asked a question. "Temporal zone?"

"Yeah, it's essentially a time limbo," Rip answered. "We can hide out there for a bit. Another temporal jump would risk revealing our position."

"A time-limbo?" Stein asked, astonished. "Astonishing."

"Nerd," Lace coughed.

"Oh, there's something you people don't know about time travel? That's surprising, isn't it?" Rip asked. "Considering none of you have ever time traveled before. Bringing a family member from the past onto a timeship?"

"I know, tell me about it," Lace commented.

"Breaking out and carousing around the 1970s?" Rip asked, directing it to the four who left to drink and start a fight. "We've barely begun, and already this is the worst, unmitigated disaster of my career."

Lace watched with amusement as Rip turned around only to be punched by Kendra.

"My son is hurt because of you," Kendra told Rip, as she pushed him against the wall. "Who attacked us?"
