Chapter 5: Horrid Breakthrough

It was hard for almost every child in the base to know Jacob was locked up and they couldn't do anything to help him. Especially Alain since now the children were being trained worse than before by Tord due to how he was so angry and annoyed from Jacob's behavior the previous day. The kids, if shifters, were forced to get to know their monster form despite the painful execution of it. Gwen, however, was forced to fight her parents in knife battles while wearing equipment that protected them from most weapons that were a melee type and some bullets. This stressed her and she only had Alain to comfort her, because the others didn't care much. Especially now that more children were showing up and being forced to train with them because they were kidnapped and told to train. None were shifters so of course Gwen was soon switched to fight them and she won most fights, despite her small height of 4'11". Alain was forced to learn to fly, and always had a shock collar on when flying in case she tried to escape. She got shocked once and had to he put into the medical center in the base as over time things got worse and worse until..Leah was born. Leah was tested as a shifter by blood tests and such, and so when the child was 3, she'd have to train the poor thing. It was as if...Tord was doing this on purpose to create more weapons. It was a horrid thought, but she knew her uncle was capable of such a thing. However, Tom, when he was training them, he was much easier on them. He wanted to make sure that they got rest before Tord came back up. For now though, Tord was busy with controlling the world and taking care of his newest..weapon. His first daughter.
Nonetheless...
What happens next is one of the most horrible experiences Alain went through.
This was to see Gwen suffer. The poor now 14 year old girl.

She isn't normal anymore.

Not human.

Not anymore...

Alain had been eating with Damian and Gwen, Samuel on her lap, when Tord slammed the door of the cafeteria open. Everyone jumped and looked at him, only to see an excited look on his face. This worried Alain far too much..
"Gwen, Alain, I need for you two to some with me." His eyes held excitement and..was that..?
No..He had something horrible in mind.
Nonetheless...they soon followed the man to the lab and sat down when ordered to. The two females watched as Tord got everything and soon put blood from Alain into a vial, beginning to mess around with some things before putting it into a needle for a shot. He then walked over to Gwen and smirked as he put what..whatever that shit was...inside her. Into the poor girl who had been human.
Not after that..not after Alain's blood went into her system.
When they left though, Gwen was noticeably weaker and slower than normal. This worried the older girl do she immediately took her to Patryck, who was surprised to see them. However, once he saw his daughter weak and slow, he panicked and rushed over to them. "What happened?" He asked, only to get a response of, "Red Leader gave her a shot..I think it had my blood in it." From Alain. This got a panicked look from Pat while he grabbed his daughter and looked her over. Tears filled his eyes as he softly said, "He did the experiment..My..My daughter..She..Was the first subject." He seemed miserable as he hugged his now sleeping daughter since she had passed out when he hugged her. "What do you mean?" Alain asked, only to get a sob from Patryck. "He..changed her..! She's a shifter now if it really worked!" At this, Alain looked shocked and then she looked at her friend, tears of her own going down her cheeks. She gritted her teeth, stalking off in the directions she smelled Tord's scent, her arms becoming that of a monster. Her teeth became sharp, and she growled out lowly. Once she was on the same room as the man, she saw her other uncle, Tom, and immediately the two shifters were pushing one another, already knowing one another's intentions as Tord watched with amusement. In the end, Tom won and had Alain pinned against a wall. "Why?" Was what Alain asked, looking down with tears going down her cheeks. She sobbed softly as her short uncle sighed. "..You wouldn't understand, Alain..That was for the better." Tord softly said, walking over as Tom let the girl go. Alain growled as she pushed Tom further away from her and glared at her uncle. "No, you just ruined a parent's life and made his daughter become a fucking monster! You're such..YOU ARE SUCH AN ASSHOLE! I HOPE YOU DIE!" She yells, only to storm off and leave both males shocked at her outburst. Tord..Actually let out a shaky sigh while looking away. "..I..I just wanted to protect them." Tord whispered, catching Tom's attention. Immediately after, his husband was by his side and kissed his forehead. "No..You did, but just in the wrong way..you should tell me about things you do before you do them because it might make the situation worse with Alain if you keep doing this..She is family after all you know.." he spoke, stroking the red leader's cheek, and making him look up at him. "It's fine..You'll be fine..everything is alright..." he sighed out softly and kissed his lover finally on the lips, but beyond the room, Damian and Samuel were outside and keeping watch of their baby sister, who was being held by Damian. She was a fluffy little monster right now and it was funny to see honestly. She was already learning to go into this form and yet..Her little wings were trying to make her fly. He would soon confront Alain and tell her about this but for now...he was going to sit here with his siblings, watching over the small children also in the base.
